The Bible is the most remarkable document for expanding our thinking! Let us consider.


What science can't do

Science is limited. Scientists can only test currently occurring phenomena: they study it in action and they make conclusions about it.


If an alien, extraterrestrial life or an angel visits the earth, speaks to one or two people and leaves the earth, defying the known earthly physical laws, or a miracle occurs, scientists are at a loss as they have no material to work with, except the account of witnesses.


Though many UFO sightings have turned out to be the planet Venus, meteors, human made objects, space junk falling or military tests, this does not preclude the possibility of a UFO or of life visiting earth. Scientists have calculated there is a possibility of other life but as yet, despite exhaustive exploration, it has not been found. This is called the “Fermi- Hart paradox”.

The apparent size and age of the universe suggest that many technologically advanced extraterrestrial civilizations ought to exist.

However, this hypothesis seems inconsistent with the lack of observational evidence to support it.

An answer, among many suggested, is “It is possible that a life form technologically advanced enough to travel to Earth might also be sufficiently advanced to exist here undetected” Fermi Paradox

Currently space explorations are looking for water and signs of life as we know it on earth, from probes landing on Mars to spacecraft such as Voyager 1&2 sent out of the solar system. NASA ran the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) and the more recent High Resolution Microwave Survey (HRMS) which searched for radio signals of intelligent extraterrestrial origin. Some hope that the next effort to understand space, a huge neutrino detector called 'IceCube' to be built in Antarctica, will show that extraterrestrial life has mastered sending neutrino messages. But all these look for life as we know it.


But what if there is a different form of life not bounded by physical laws in the same way we are?


Life from extraterrestrial life

Some scientists accept literally the account of creation in Genesis, others do not. All agree that evidence indicates that life is very unlikely to have arisen by chance. The Law of Biogenesis, from Louis Pasteur's (1864) findings, states that 'life comes from life' and modern organisms cannot naturally come from non-life.

No less than the Nobel prize winner Professor Francis Crick, OM FRS (who co-discovered DNA the building block of life), and Leslie Orgel, seriously proposed as a theory Directed Panspermia in 1973, saying that the 'seeds' of life on earth may have been purposely spread by an advanced extraterrestrial civilization.

Creation is a historical event, it is therefore outside experimental science. It has not been repeated and it's not happening now, therefore, all that modern scientists can do is speculate. But scientific laws do not rule out that life brought life here.

And there is historical written evidence of witnesses to say an extraterrestrial life form has visited earth in the past.

2) The eyewitness and science

Social science, the study of human experience, tends to rely on the accounts of many humans to establish a phenomena, with evidence only being considered reliable with many people in a study. Science is still only at the frontier of research that is the field of study of the complex human mind, but we do know that the individual's mind can be deluded. Studies have shown that if parts of the brain are damaged we can believe our arm is not our own even though it is attached. And our imagination is such that we can believe dreams are real experiences. Therefore, a scientist may argue that individual sightings are not reliable evidence of extraterrestrial life. In explanation they are relegated to the category of human delusions, overworked imaginations or they say what was seen could have a natural explanation. If a reliable, honest healthy person is the only witness, science can say nothing, yet it may very well have occurred – just as the witness says.

The evidence of eyewitnesses

In a Law court the evidence of many people is compared before a verdict is made. But often only one person saw a key event. The jury has to decide whether the event occurred as the witness said it did. In other words, 'Is the witness credible?' In fact, we daily hear of events and have to evaluate the veracity of the source.


The written evidence of witnesses to say an extraterrestrial life form has visited earth in the past needs to be evaluated in the same way.


3) The account of Creation by extraterrestrial life

If some famous scientists have concluded that life must come from extraterrestrial sources, it is remarkably in accord with an ancient account of Creation.

The account of creation in Moses' compilation, written approx.1450 BC, could have passed from Adam to Moses in only five lifetimes.

In Genesis one, where the English is “God”, in Hebrew it is 'Elohim'. This is plural and is best translated “Mighty Ones”. They say “Let us make man in our image”.

Let us pause to consider. This text says all life originated from beings (plural) who were not on the earth, but who came from somewhere else to the earth. This is remarkable, because independently while rejecting the Bible in their frame of reference, some Scientists have logically concluded that such an event is a scientifically acceptable solution.

Genesis One is written from the perspective of these beings from beyond earth (there is a shift in emphasis in Genesis 2). These beings say “let there be light” and the Power of the universe makes light. They have access to enormous power. Their commands control light, water, and make vegetable and animal matter from the earth. Humans look like them but don't have their powers. Genesis 2 says these beings spoke to Adam and Eve. It is logical they were the source of the account in Genesis One.

In the rules of a court of justice, this evidence is consistent. In addition the account is credible. It is a scientific fact that life cannot spontaneously generate and it is impossible life came to be on earth by itself. That extra-terrestrials brought it here is now a theory. This text looks like evidence for that theory. This ancient Hebrew account of their origins explains the phenomenon of the beginning of life on earth that modern science is still coming to terms with.

4) Evidence of Beings with Remarkable Powers

These beings, called 'Mighty Ones', did not cease communications. The best source of detailed extra-terrestrial sightings is in the Bible. It contains a record of many sightings of extraterrestrial life over a period of more than 4000 years. (All dates are approximate)

his countenance was like ..a messenger of God, very terrible

The man with the 'terrible' face vanished but appeared again. Manoah sees him also the second time. The messenger says his name is secret. Then,

the messenger did wondrously... For it came to be, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the messenger of He who will be ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground. But the messenger of He Who will Be did no more appear.. (Judges 13:2-21)

This is an account of a being who looks like a human, except with a face diffused with a different energy, with powers beyond human capability. This vertical ascension is consistent with earlier accounts.

5) Being 'taken' from the earth

Witnessed fact may be stranger than fiction. There is a record of two people who have vanished from the earth. It is recoded that at age 365 years Enoch was “translated”.

Enoch walked with God (Mighty Ones): and he was not; for God (Mighty Ones) took him. (Genesis 5:24)

The writer was certain the Mighty Ones took Enoch, he had not just gone missing. This is consistent with Elisha's witness of Elijah's departure in a chariot.

As they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof”. And he saw him no more: (2Kings 2:11-12)

Elisha sees a vehicle, which seems pulled by horses. The chariot seems to be on fire, so bright it is and as it goes up beside Elisha he feels the pull like that of a whirlwind. There are clearly forces available that were not seen on earth at that time. Elisha at least twice sees these chariots of fire as he shows his servant (see list above).


Enfolding fire & Darkness

A whole nation, estimated at over one million, saw a whole mountain seem to burn with flames and thick smoke but yet people near it were not consumed. The heard also quite clearly a voice from that mountain, like it was coming from a modern loudspeaker. The whole nation Israelites are witnesses of the strange fire and it is recorded in their history, as from that they famously heard ten commandments. This event witnessed by a nation of people is not hidden as who has not heard of the ten commandments?

Specially the day that thou stood before He Who Will Be thy Mighty Ones in Horeb, when He Who Will Be said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children. And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness. He Who Will Be spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice. And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. (Deuteronmy 4:10-13)


Ezekiel sees a vision of a vehicle. Note he does not say he witnessed a real thing. This was a vision. He sees the kind of energy not seen until electricity.

And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. (Ezekiel 1:4)

He sees some beings like the appearance of a man and a vehicle

As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning. And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning. Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces. The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went. As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four. (Ezekiel 1:13-18)

Ezekiel was shown the kind of power the extra-terrestrial beings had access to.

And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. (Ezekiel 1:19)

Ezekiel was shown that beings could ascend and descend vertically. This is impossible for humans. This is very similar to what Jacob saw in his vision at Bethel, when he saw in a vision, beings ascending vertically and descending. Note that Elisha saw a physical chariot, Ezekiel did not. Ezekiel saw a vision of the power.


The ancient Hebrews had a tradition about these beings saying that their ruler He who will be

makes his messengers spirits, and his servants a flame of fire. (Hebrews 1:7 quoting Psalm 104:4)

6) Absence of Sightings

From 800 to 390 BC there were quite a few messages delivered to the Hebrews by those they called messengers (Hebrew malak).

Some also see visions, including that of “a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it” (Ezekiel 1:4), and a vision of horses with chariots coming between mountains (Zechariah 6:3).

Then there is an absence of sightings for about 380 years.


Renewed sightings

For the 100 years from the Common Era there are more similar sightings and accounts of many miracles. For example a multitude of Messengers are seen at night in a halo of bright light by a group of shepherds (Luke 2) to announce Jesus' (Yeshua) birth.

But perhaps the most remarkable was 44AD when Peter by then a leader of the followers of Christ, was placed in prison.

Behold, a messenger of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side, and woke him up, saying, “Stand up quickly!” His chains fell off from his hands. The messenger said to him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” He did so. He said to him, “Put on your cloak, and follow me.”And he went out and followed him. He didn’t know that what was being done by the messenger was real, but thought he saw a vision. When they were past the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them by itself. They went out, and went down one street, and immediately the messenger departed from him. (Acts 12:7-10)

On another occasion Paul, who wrote most of the letters included in the New Testament, when in danger of shipwreck in 59AD, saw a messenger of God stand by him on the night before they came to land.


John in 96CE is the last one to see them at Patmos. He saw at least 7 of them. One tells John all that people need to know about the future, until the time these messengers will again be seen on the earth.

And there came unto me one of the seven messengers .. (Rev 21:9)
And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his messenger to show to his servants the things which must shortly be done. (Rev 22:6)


A long absence of sightings

Though many have claimed miracles, and seen strange sights, no one, it seems, has seen these human- like beings who glow, come down from the atmosphere or ascend from the earth. No-one since John at Patmos in about 96AD has heard them speak for He Who Will Be. But can we be sure?

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained Messengers unawares. (Hebrews 13:2)

As it is quite clear from all the account that they can walk on the earth and humans not see them. Having left their various messages, the extra-terrestrial messengers have indicated they will not communicate until one day they will be revealed on earth again, for all to see

But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of Messengers, (Hebrew 12:22)

7) Fact more Remarkable than fiction

Though on many occasions the accounts are eyewitness accounts of individuals, the type of sightings are consistent. They look like humans. They speak our languages. There is considerable agreement that they have access to fiery energy. They often ascend vertically defying gravity.

Their interaction with humans is not random, the beings all speak as one and speak for a greater being called He who will be, who has a plan with humans. They are team players. When they do speak the words are clear, remarkable and they speak accurately of the national and international political future of the person they speak to.

Eyewitness accounts speak of them 'appearing'. It follows that they may be around us, but they may be invisible. In all cases the eyewitness accounts indicate the beings have powers that show they are not bound by the same 'laws' of physics that we are.



8) Extra-terrestrial but not Alien

By definition extra-terrestrial merely means it originated, or is located, or occurs outside Earth or its atmosphere. This is consistent with the sightings indicating the beings go upward.

But being extraterrestrial does not mean it is alien. Alien means “strange, foreign, exotic, dissimilar, inconsistent, or opposed, with difference in nature or character typically to the point of incompatibility.” But it appears those sightings record life which is not alien to us. Firstly they speak the local language. Secondly they seem to look like another human. Thirdly they understand the people's needs and hopes and can even read their minds.

In addition the definition for Alien includes the common political use, “Owing political allegiance to another country or government; foreign: alien residents. An unnaturalized foreign resident of a country. Also called non-citizen. A person from another and very different family, people, or place. A person who is not included in a group; an outsider.” http://www.thefreedictionary.com/alien

From all the accounts there is considerable political and partisan interference by the life sighted over the years, as they seem to be acting in the affairs the nation of the Israelites and others in the Middle East. In one instance, Daniel, who was living in Babylon, was told by one,

Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Now I will return to fight with the prince of Persia. When I go forth, behold, the prince of Greece shall come. (Daniel 10:20)

This speaks of an active involvement in the life of the leaders of the nations on earth.

9) Underrating the intelligence of life out there

Carl Sagan's team in 1977 for the NASA Voyager 1 & 2 missions may have rather underrated the intelligence of other life. They assumed they may have limited capability to languages like those on the earth, and sent out greetings in 55 languages hoping they may be bothered to decipher it as a type 'Rosetta stone'.

There is in fact a deep irony in this as the ancient record of the Hebrew's indicate that one of the first actions of a group of extra-terrestrials, they called 'Mighty ones' (Heb Elohim), after the flood was that they confused language and created the divisions that has made the multitude of languages and dialects on earth today. So when in 1977, to communicate, humans send exemplars of the multitude of languages out into space, we could imagine the reaction of the ancient Hebrew Mighty Ones as they see Voyager fly by. It's humans sending back out to them examples of their own work!

If they can confuse language, they understand what constitutes the mechanisms of human communication, which is more than humans know yet. It seems they understand any language. Certainly Babylonian and Syrian were comprehended. In one instance words that the king of Syria spoke in his bedchamber in Syrian were passed on by Elisha to the king of Israel (2 Kings 6:12). Also it seems as if they understand thought. The beings representing 'He Who will be' knew what Sarah was thinking, though she was hidden from then by the tent (Genesis 18:9-13). The skill of instantly understanding any language and another's thought is way beyond human capability. But why should we think it impossible? If our intelligence and skill is greater than the most intelligent animal, why should there not be a form of life with greater skill than us?

People wonder as to what constitutes extra-terrestrial life. Most limit their imagination to what they see on earth, and then warp it. If there is so much great variety of life on earth from a cold blooded alligator, to bacteria, the platypus, to a sunfish, the microscopic tardigrades to a zebra, what would life that could exist in space be like? Paul answered the same question,

But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? ... All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differs from another star in glory. (1Corinthians 15:35-45)

Paul seems quite certain that we can know a heavenly being is different to one bound by the earth.

10) Angels, Ghosts and Miracles

The popular myth-conceptions of angels may be as far from the evidence as popular ideas of Extraterrestrials.

The English word 'angel' comes from the ancient Greek word aggelos, and all it means is 'messenger'. The Mighty Ones (Heb. Elohim) that the Hebrews saw brought messages. When they brought messages in New Testament times they were called the common Greek word for messenger aggelos. In Old Testament times it was recorded that the Mighty Ones (Heb. Elohim) were sometimes called malak, or the common Hebrew word for a messenger, when they spoke for 'He who will be'.

These messengers, or angels, are the human-like extraterrestrials that appeared and disappeared, glowed, rose vertically, that ate, and that could be touched and wrestled with. But none of whom had wings. The accounts speak of them having access to power and an energy we can only dream about. Jesus (Yeshua) says that all who are resurrected at the judgement and inherit everlasting life will be like angels and have their powers,

For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels (messengers) of God in heaven. (Matthew 22:30)

Ghosts

Ghosts popularly are described much in the way Jesus (Yeshua) was after his resurrection, as beings that can appear and disappear and walk through walls. Yeshua did this

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and said unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he showed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. (John 20:19-20)
After eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then said he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. (John 20:26-27)

However, it is to be noted that the disciples could handle the body of Yeshua. Somehow despite his body feeling solid, and just as any other human, he could go through walls. Jacob who wrestled with the angel shows that angels (Elohim) also can be held by humans. The angels can somehow also cause themselves to vanish.

One thing that ghosts cannot be from the Bible is dead humans of this creation!

While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. (Psalm 146:2-4)

And

For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. (Isaiah 38:18)

Miracles

Science is often brought forth as a reason to discount miracles. But science defines that it scope is observation of repeatable, present events in the material realm and theory making regarding these. Science so defined can have nothing to say regarding one-off events influenced by meta-physical beings, such as messengers from God.

Actually science tends to be at its limit even describing human interaction, let alone possible interaction with beings we might not see. A better way to understand whether miracles occurred is the same way we judge if any event occurred: We ask 'is the witness reliable?'

11) Scientifically inexplicable phenomena

The fact is that science, though it has done a good job in describing some phenomena, really hasn't dealt with much that we take for granted. It may explain the electro-magnetic spectrum but no theory can explain why the electro and magnetic interact and keep interacting. Though we can know the properties of water, its behaviour is so extraordinary that as yet there is no explanation as to why is is the way it is. Though we understand weather systems, in general we don't really know what drives them to make such varied weather. And thought we speak of energy, we can't define it except by what it does.

And the most ordinary thing of all is the least understood. Humans just don't have a clue on what makes a baby start breathing, and what makes an old person stop breathing.

The ancient Hebrews who witnessed the life visiting earth, and who met and spoke to the Elohim, wrote that another life sustains ours.

O >Yahweh (He who will be) my Elohim (Mighty Ones), you are very great; Who makes his messengers spirits; his ministers a flaming fire: .. , how manifold are your works! in wisdom have you made them all...These wait all upon you; that you may give them their food in due season. What you give them they gather: you open your hand, they are filled with good. You hide your face, they are troubled: you take away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. You send forth your spirit, they are created: and you renew the face of the earth. (Psalm 104:1-30)

In reality objective science has no better explanation! All science can say is that life is required for life. The most extra-ordinary inexplicable phenomena is that the whole of the living human population is sustained daily by a life energy that they can't see - and if they discount the Bible's evidence – it's a life energy they can't comprehend.
