In the night of the nations there are new developments in the climate, specifically affecting the political climate. And then there is also the issue of the tree Israel cut down.

This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomsoever he will, and sets up over it the basest of men. (Daniel 4:17)
It is weather that has often shaped who holds the power of the modern world, to whom it has been given. From the Spanish Armada, to the French Revolution, to the defeat of Napoleon in Russia, to the calmness of D-day, these are times when the weather has determined the fate of the world.
Recently, in the past 2 weeks from the beginning of August, Pakistan received an unprecedented deluge at the same time as Russia suffered heatwave related fires causing loss to grain. According to scientists quoted by Kwek
“The devastating Russian heatwave and Pakistan floods are caused by one unusual weather pattern - the static jet stream,.. But in the past month, a "blocking event" has brought the jet stream to a halt, keeping weather patterns stationary over certain countries. "Over Pakistan, the weather pattern is just staying with the monsoon, and the monsoon is bringing drenching rains," weatherzone.com.au meteorologist Josh Fisher said.(my emphasis)..
"But this jet stream is also bringing dry air from eastern Africa right up into Russia and this continuous heatwave is allowing the wildfires to build.".
Mr Fisher said the Rossby waves - spinning wind currents that give the jet stream its wavy form by pushing it north and south - are responsible for the stalled jet stream.
The waves have been stronger this year, working against the jet stream and bringing it to a halt. This blocking pattern, while difficult to predict, usually lasts about eight to 11 days, he said.
But less is known about what triggers this abnormal activity..(my emphasis).
Climate change has been cited as one possibility, but scientist Gerald Meehl of the National Centre for Atmospheric Research in Colorado told the New Scientist magazine there was no way to test the theory, as the resolution in climate change models was too low to replicate weather patterns such as blocking events.
Another cause could be low solar activity, Mr Fisher said.

In other words they don't know. And they can't know. However, we are told that Yahweh stretches the heavens (Psalm 104:2) and we can then know what triggers “abnormal activity” as fire, hail, snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfil his word: (Psalm 148:8). Job was asked
Can you lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover you? Canst you send lightnings...Who can number the clouds in wisdom? (Job 38:34-38)
Pakistan's flooding
The flooding hit so that the worst effects were felt by the overwhelming Muslim populace as the most important Muslim festival of Ramadan began. Aptly in Ramadan the people fast during the daylight hours. However they feast at night (eating more than they would do normally), and the floods have meant they have no food. The media has reported some complaining that they have a forced fast. Why should the Creator of the Bible be kind to those of a nation of whom, the majority are happy to say that His revelation from the beginning contained lies? It cannot be discounted that a cloudburst strategically located, and tweaking of the Jet stream is a way of changing the political landscape. It is bringing Britain to the fore.
The United Kingdom, after years in eclipse, has been drawn back to India. India sought independence, and split into India and Pakistan (and Bangladesh). But the modern world showed no nation is independent, and India is drawn into London's global financial webs as they seek to trade. Though Britain came to Pakistan merely to win Afghanistan, that is likely to be lost (as is Iraq to Persia), but due to the floods an uneasy peace between India and Pakistan might be won: the kind of peace diverse people might have when all are ruled by a compassionate, but strong, foreign monarch.
And that too has been prefigured, in a future climatic intervention of the Creator, a king who comes like soaking rain,
He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth. In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endures. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust. The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. (Psalm 72:6-10)
The kings of merchants and isles, so descriptive of the Commonwealth, shall be first to bring gifts, just as they are often first to offer aid. Saudi Arabia will follow them.
That is a sudden political climate change, but not unprecedented, as even today by small events the world is driven, like the weather, to defeat human will and conform events to the Decree of the Watchers.
Russia
In Russia of the uttermost parts of the North the fires have led to Russia withdrawing grain for sale internationally. They are ceasing to trade grain. Their loss due to the fires would push up prices if they don't meet internal demand first. Such a crisis leaves the field open for Britain and America, as Russia is distracted. It allows other grain producing nations such as Australia to prosper. It seems as if Britain and the Commonwealth is being favoured. It is not because they deserve it, but because of their role as the merchants and young lions (Ezekiel 38:13). It is possible Russia also will be looking to climate proof by looking to former soviet territory in Europe.. and looking South.
The amazing tree cutting incident and Lebanon
On August 3, 2010 the world feared an escalation in an exchange of fire between Lebanon and Israel, over a tree. It seems possible that neighbours might go to court over whose side of the fence a tree was on and one or the other pruning it, but that nations would go to war over such an issue? But the tree has great significance.
In the Bible Lebanon is associated with a great cedar tree.
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. (Psalm 92:12)
It is then a sense of expectation that this event may prove to be of significance. It is known that the Israeli tree pruning over the fence, but on their territory, was routine and cleared with international peacekeepers in Lebanon. In fact the tree pruning was so well known that it seems events were set up by Lebanese sympathisers with Palestinians and staged for waiting reporters (one of whom was so close to the action, he was killed). Israel was doing what it normally would do, which contributes to their defence, but some in the Lebanese army decided to make it an incident.
The Lebanese army shot an IDF commander while he was pruning a cypress tree. As could be expected Israel fired back. In Lebanon there is a struggle between Syrian backing and Iranian backing. Hezbollah is also in a difficult position regarding their assassination of a leading politician. Oddly the Israeli a Lt.-Col. in the reserves, who was killed, is surnamed Harari almost the same as the surname of the Lebanese premier Rafik Hariri assassinated in 2005 in Lebanon by Hezbollah, whose death caused the pull out of Syria and is still causing issues, possibly even this one. It is thought Hezbollah pulled the stunt to divert attention from their indictment in the court case for the Lebanese leader's assassination in 2005. And the IDF's Harari was killed while cutting down a cypress tree.
The cypress is associated in Turkey and Asia Minor with funerals and burial, and its wood is often used interchangeably with the cedar. The cypress is 'flame shaped' (Cypress)
When Assyria was ascendant and ruled much of the Levant it is written,
Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs. (Ezekiel 31:3)
The political climate in Lebanon is tense, as factions exist.
Jotham spoke a parable of Lebanon, which he possibly didn't make up, about those who murder when they strive for leadership. His brothers had been killed by Abimelech so he could seize power and rule those of Shechem. Jotham likened Abimelech to a bramble (a wild destructive weed),
Then said all the trees unto the bramble, Come thou, and reign over us. And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon. (Judges 9:14-15)
Jotham added what he meant by the parable,
If you then have dealt truly and sincerely with Jerubbaal and with his house this day (in murdering them all), then rejoice ye in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you: But if not, let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech. (Judges 9:19-20)
Thus the fire from each devours both upstart bramble and cedar. This applies in Lebanon. Because they have not dealt truly with Israel or each other, they consume each other in mutual violence.
For those in Lebanon's arrogance regarding Israel,
For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan, (Isaiah 2:12-13)
O inhabitant of Lebanon, nested among the cedars, how you will be pitied when pangs come upon you, pain as of a woman in labour!" (Jeremiah 22:23)
Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars. (Zechariah 11:1)
Indeed since Lebanon accepted the PLO, their treachery has seen the country devoured by conflict and 'fire'.
Despite the death of the reservist and the injury of another,

Misgav Am means 'Fortress of the People'. The fortress of the people is Yahweh, whose voice is enough to break off cedars and make matchsticks of them,
The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; yea, the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon. He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion (a snow covered mountain peak) like a young unicorn. The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire. (Psalm 29:4-7)
It seems likely that this is one incident in the lead up to another war. Already the Jerusalem Post has an opinion piece “ When the next war comes”
Israel may once again lop the cypresses of Lebanon, but as the Lebanese factions never deal truly with each other they will be a fire to each other.
The political climate hangs on such seemingly small events as the holding of the jet stream and the cutting of a tree.
