Cyrus the Great encouraged the Jews to rebuild their Temple and return to their homeland.
In a Whitehouse statement for Nowruz, the Persian New Year, President Trump quoted Cyrus the Great —
“Cyrus the Great, a leader of the ancient Persian Empire, famously said that ‘freedom, dignity, and wealth together constitute the greatest happiness of humanity. If you bequeath all three to your people, their love for you will never die,’” a March 22 statement from Trump read.
Trump went on, “On behalf of the American people, I wish you freedom, dignity, and wealth.”
The reference could slip by most, but for some of Trump’s fans, it will hold great meaning. That’s because some Trump supporters see him as a modern-day Cyrus, “anointed” by God to rule.
During Trump’s campaign, comparisons of Trump to the Cyrus circulated widely in evangelical and some Jewish circles. Many compared Trump to Cyrus, referred to in Isaiah as God’s “anointed one,” who — though not Jewish — served the Hebrew God and aided the Jewish people. forward.com

Who is Donald Trump?
Why does a wealthy man like Donald Trump take on the job of the leadership of a nation with huge debt, saturated in immorality and which rejects the Almighty Creator’s commandments? These people continue to obstruct the reforms he wants to make to safeguard the nation and to rescue those in need from poverty and unemployment. He faces a huge task and will take nothing for doing it. He must be driven by what he has seen as corruption in the nation, especially in the government of the nation. Added to this we now see international issues (North Korea) arising that threaten to further destabilise the world.
These are important factors in relation to the USA, but there are more deep rooted influences in his life which should be of interest to us in these “latter days”.
Donald’s father Fred was a wealthy developer and philanthropist. He had a surprisingly strong connection and interest in the Jews. He built houses for the Holocaust victims in USA in Brooklyn. When they wanted to build a Synagogue, he gave them land. He also built a Jewish hospital and charged them only a $1 a year rent. The Trump family had a close association with the Rabbi and visited and dined with the Rabbi’s family. Young Donald from an early age played with the Jewish children and grew up with that same respect that his father had for the Zionist and dedicated Jews. (unlike the anti-Zionist Jewish friends of the Clintons/Obama).
Donald all his life has supported these Jews. His daughter Ivanka has converted to Judaism and is married to a Jew. Donald’s eldest sons married Jewish girls and he now has 8 Jewish grandchildren. Donald has Jewish lawyers and David Friedman was his first nominee for an Ambassador, and this was to Israel. Donald has complete confidence in and respect for David Freedman, who has visited Israel 70 times, has family on the mountains of Israel and knows the issues facing the nation.
Mike Pence (vice- President) is an Evangelical and believes in the promises to Abraham. He believes that God will be with those who help Israel, as promised in the Bible. Mike Pence who is almost daily in contact with Trump, describes Trump as a man with strong shoulders and a “warm heart”. Why was it that at election time, the Amish who don’t vote, came out in full force to vote for Trump in 2016?
These are factors that make Donald Trump’s Team very different to his predecessors.
These two men chosen by Trump stand as a real change of direction to the previous decades of the White House administration. As a consequence the liberal decadent sector in American society led by the Democrats has been trying by whatever means they can to bring down Trump. What they don’t know (and don’t want to know) or believe is that the Almighty Creator has a plan with the earth that will not be changed. The violence and immorality so widespread on this earth must be destroyed. Trump’s plan for the USA is one of reform and establishment of law and order, which many protest against, for example the Wall and border control to keep out drugs and criminals
To whom did Trump turn before the election? He asked his daughter Ivanka to pray to the God of Israel for him. He also made the same request of his son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Some of his supporters have likened him to a type of Cyrus. Where the Obama camp sought to divide up Israel the Trump team stand to support and work for a fairer deal for Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East.
Why Cyrus?
We know that Cyrus had an important role in encouraging the Jews to rebuild their Temple and return to their homeland. Who influenced Cyrus? We know that Daniel was head over the 120 Governors of the Medo-Persian Empire and undoubtedly influential at the time when the 70 years of dispersion were expiring. The influences in Trump’s life and his affiliation through his father and his own dealings with Jews, have made him aware of the plight of the Jews. Today it is the men around Trump and his family who have had enduring influence on him. While he now has to grapple with world issues, those people chosen by him are there to deal with the problems in Israel. Is he then a catylist to allow the work that needs to be done in Israel, before our Messiah’s return? Cyrus was not a Jew, neither is Trump, but if we believe in Yahweh setting up rulers to do his will. Trump has the power, the means and the support of “Zionist”Jews to do so.
Consider the events relating to Cyrus in the book of Ezra.
Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The LORD his God be with him, and let him go up. (II Chronicles 36:22-23)

Isaiah records Yahweh’s view of Cyrus that he gave to the people of Israel.
That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid. (Isaiah 44:27-28 )
The writings of Daniel reveal his association with the rulers of Persia.
He delivers and rescues, and he works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian. (Daniel 6:27-28 )
In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision. In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. (Daniel 10:1-2)
These references make it clear that Daniel had an important role to play in Yahweh’s purpose with Cyrus in the accomplishment of the destiny of Israel and confirmation of the prophecy through Jeremiah, concerning Israel’s return to their homeland after the 70 years of captivity in Babylon.
Role of the leader of Modern Global Power
Trump’s mother Mary Anne MacLeod was also an influence in his life. She is also reported to have been a philanthropist. We must conclude that Donald Trump’s mother played a role in the shaping of his life also. At his inauguration he swore allegiance on two Bibles, one of which was the Bible that his mother had given him. His mother emigrated to the USA around 1920 from a small village called Tong on the Isle of Lewis in the Hebrides of Scotland, which is staunchly Presbyterian observing a strict belief in moral behaviour and even today is probably the only place on earth which still maintains a 'sabbath', with no work done or stores open on Sunday. This leads us to his abhorrence of the effects of alcohol, drugs and smoking and his refusal to imbibe these habits. This would no doubt increase the opposition of his White House predecessors, about whom we will not speak.
His support of Israel is a phenomenon, the like of which has not been seen since the time of Lord Balfour in Britain. The help given to the Jewish refugees after WW11 was largely from the USA and Australia. Before WW2 very few helped, Roosevelt’s USA even turning away Jewish refugees. Before the election Donald Trump made it known that he supported Israel and its right to build on the mountains of Israel. His appointment of David Friedman as Ambassador to Israel and his choice of Mike Pence as vice President are evidence of this.
Why should the mountains of Israel be significant?
Ezekiel makes many references to the mountains of Israel in his book. Many of these follow the events in the past history of Israel. However those relevant to Israel’s position and which are prophetic for today, give details of the “last days” in which we live. The mountains of Israel are indeed most significant. The Clinton and Obama administrations tried to force Israel to stop building on the mountains which would allow for their plan to divide Israel into two states. Today the Arab nations want to take Jerusalem away from the Jews, and stop the move to establish an American Embassy in Jerusalem and deny that Jerusalem was and is Israel’s rightful capital. It is in the news most weeks, if we look.
We need to consider these most significant sections of scripture in Ezekiel applying to the present day situation, that we should expect to see in Israel.
As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 34:12-15)
And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them. And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid. (Ezekiel 34:26-28 )
Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD: Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession:
Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:
Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about;
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey. Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen: Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame. But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come. (Ezekiel 36:1-8 )
Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: (Ezekiel 37:21-22 )
Referring to the Gogian host we read:
After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee. Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. (Ezekiel 38:8-12)
We see now Saudi Arabia is in a very prominent political place with Israel and Britain,
Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it? (Ezekiel 38:13-14)
And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: (Ezekiel 39:2-4)
We would expect in the coming days that conditions will arise to allow Jews to dwell safely on the mountains of Israel, Judea and Samaria. We expect that the conditions in the political world, with Europe in decline self generating a paranoia of Russia and the Brexit of Britain, will allow our Heavenly Father to use Donald Trump in a miraculous window of time and circumstance to bring about this situation described by Ezekiel.

The Bible suggests in prophecy that the most outrageous things would occur in world poltics: alliances would end abruptly and the world would plunge into an unstable time. We are today in the day of political upheaval, not seen in a generation.

Events, are moving at such a pace that we don't have time to analyse those with significance in depth.
Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. (Amos 3:6-7)
We hear 'Trump', and we associate it with 'Trumpet', which is the likely origin of the surname which was given to a Trumpeter or Drummer in the Army. The trumpet in the Bible speaks also of a call to war as Amos points out. Amos also says that when the trumpet of war is blown, Yahweh has done it. We are told that what is done is revealed to his servants.
