It will be 70 years from when Israel is established, and when the first embassies to Isarel appeared. Seventy years is specifically the life of a man (Psalm 90:10). Isarel went into Egypt as 70 men. Seventy years were determined for Judah's Captivity (Jer. 25:11-2, 29:10). Joseph was embalmed 70 days and mourned 40 days (Gen 50:3) Jewish News Syndicate headlines '40 dignitaries to attend dedication of US embassy in Jerusalem on May 14'. 40 is the number of trial, with 40 years in the wilderness.

In March 2016, I was at AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington, D.C., when the presumptive Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, vowed to move the American embassy to the eternal capital of the Jewish people, Jerusalem. I, too, rose and applauded, but even as I did so, I dismissed what he had said as meaningless political rah-rah. last December President Trump announced that the US was officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and that the State Department would begin preparation to move the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Even this was dismissed as an empty stunt it would take years to plan and build an embassy, by which time it wouldn’t happen, as Trump would be out of office.

the relocation of the US Embassy and recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital is important, and not just in the world of international diplomacy. I was particularly struck by one sentence: 'Israel is a sovereign nation with the right like every other sovereign nation to determine its own capital.' It dawned on me for the first time that Israel has never had a formally recognized capital city, even before 1967 and the so-called 'occupation.'

To me this entire phenomenon is just further proof that when it comes to Israel and God's chosen nation, ordinary rules do not apply, and extraordinary events have meaning well beyond what is immediately apparent. In the Haftarah that is read in conjunction with the portion of Behar (Jer. 32:6-27), God instructs Jeremiah to buy a plot of land from his relative, and to deposit the title in a jug for safekeeping. Jeremiah was puzzled by this order, and asked God why securing the title made any sense, as the nation was imminently going to be exiled from Israel for an undetermined period, with all the accompanying violent devastation and dispossession. Why preserve the title to a field whose ownership by any Jew would soon become irrelevant?

For 2,000 years since the second Temple destruction, Jerusalem was in the hands of gentiles. The Jewish community in Jerusalem was poor and had few rights. In 1948, and then in 1967, Jews took control of Jerusalem, but the world continued to hold any claim to our capital in contempt. The prophecy had not yet come to pass. This coming Monday, we will finally see the realization of Jeremiah’s prophecy. The deed to our eternal capital, Jerusalem, will be 'signed, sealed and witnessed in the territory of Benjamin and in the villages around Jerusalem,' as the world's most powerful nation will formally recognize Jewish ownership of Jerusalem, just as God promised would happen 2,500 years ago.

Their perspective is tainted by the US withdrawl from the Paris Climate Change (which would have cost the US most). Apart from making negative predictions, which won't come to pass, the key point is the attitude of rejecting US leadership

The most shocking realization, however, is one that affects us directly. The West as we once knew it no longer exists. Our relationship to the United States cannot currently be called a friendship and can hardly be referred to as a partnership. It is no longer a question as to whether Germany and Europe will take part in foreign military interventions in Afghanistan or Iraq. It is now about whether trans-Atlantic cooperation on economic, foreign and security policy even exists anymore. The answer: No. It is impossible to overstate what Trump has dismantled in the last 16 months. Europe has lost its protective power. It has lost its guarantor of joint values. As a result of the large rainfall and strong water flow in the Shuafat refugee camp in Jerusalem, on Thursday part of the security wall in the area collapsed as the drainage infrastructure in the eastern part of Jerusalem did not withstand the pressure, Israel’s Channel 2 News reported. Border Police forces were summoned to the scene after disturbances had broken out at the site. Rioters who threw stones at the Border Police officers, who responded with riot control measures. Police stressed that the forces fenced off the scene in order to remove curious civilians and prevent the entry of PA Arabs through the opening in the security wall. Defense establishment experts were also summoned to the breach, to examine the damage and initiate the necessary repairs. Jewish Press

The word breach has interesting associations, all pointing to God's actions

Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant. (Isa 30:13)

Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter: Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it. We see here how the end times are described as repairing the breach

And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in. (Isa 58:12)

Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound. (Isa 30:26)

For it is written that Israel on the mountains, including Jerusalem, have no walls in the last days,

However term 'Occupied Palestinian Territories' is political and not rooted in international law or documented history. Palestine is the Roman name for occupied Judea, and no Palestinian Arab state has ever existed in the Land of Israel. Howard Grief argued that the legal title of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel was recognized by the international community at the San Remo Peace Conference in 1920. The State Department report's omission of the word 'occupied' when referring to Judea and Samaria.. is important because the core of the Arab-Israel conflict was never about 'occupation', but a deeply entrenched Muslim Arab opposition to a reborn Jewish state within any borders. Twain was particularly struck by how barren the country was, and how few people there were. As he traveled through the Jezreel Valley, he noted that 'there is not a solitary village throughout its whole extent' Approximately 2,600 years ago, the prophet Ezekiel prophesized (Ez. 36:8): But you, mountains of Israel, will produce branches and fruit for my people Israel, for they will soon come home. According to the Talmud (Sanhedrin 98a) there is no greater sign of the redemption than the fulfillment of this. The Holocaust martyr, Rabbi Yissachar Shlomo Teichtal, in his seminal work Eim Habanim Semeicha, wrote that the desolation of the Land of Israel, as witnessed by Twain, is an essential component of that prophecy, a precursor to the flourishing renewal of the land in Messianic times.

Seventy years after the creation of the State of Israel, we have all personally observed the fulfillment of that prophecy. And as we contrast the highly-developed, prosperous country with the dreadful place described by Mark Twain, and even with the struggling Israel that marked most of its formative years, let us all be acutely aware that the fulfillment of Ezekiel's prophecy was highlighted by the Talmud as the greatest sign of imminent Messianic redemption.

19 April 2018 75 year aniversary when Jews chose to fight in Warsaw Ghetto

In a co-incidenece which is not a co-incidence, this year, on the 75 anniversary, the Western date for the Jewish Warsaw uprising co- incides with the Jewish Independence day, celebrating 70 years of the nation.

They could not win in the Ghetto, but they by no means lost. They showed a spirit that 5 years later would be required in the face of again overwhelming odds. But in Isarel there are Miracles. The words are from a preface to longer poem by William Blake about Milton and Paradise Lost, published in 1808. William Blake was a non conformist, as were his parents. From 1784 he began working with radical publisher Joseph Johnson, and seems to have shared ideals. Joseph Johnson published Joseph Priestly.

In 1808 when the poem was written the ideals were limited to a few visionaries, but by 1916 when the poem was publish by Robert Bridges and set to music during WW1, the whole nation had been affected by years of the Great Awkenings, and the stutified mind of 1808 was replaced by many having a fervent spirit who also sought to not only improve their lot in this life but also find the Eternal Paradise lost, the New Jerusalem. The song in 1916 had resonance for a people who all knew their Bibles.

He was specifically thinking about a legend that as a boy, Jesus of Nazareth visited England with his great uncle, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a sailor and trader. Some try to justify the legend on the grounds that Joseph might have come to buy tin from Cornish mines, but if there is any hard evidence at all, it has yet to come to light. Instead, the legend of Jesus walking upon England's mountains green is part and parcel of the cycle of medieval legends about Britain's own King Arthur. Those stories say that after Jesus's Crucifixion, Joseph took the Holy Grail to Glastonbury, where he established the first English church. But that's not all he left. According to the 14th Century monk John of Glastonbury, Arthur, the greatest of British heroes, was Joseph's great-great-great-great grandson - and therefore related to Jesus himself.

For sure the Ancient Middle East world traded with Britain. This is known. It is also true that as part of the Roman Empire, Christians came to Britain. But nowhere does truth endure where conformity is required. William Blake's question is not of the past, but of his era, as the context shows. He is asking people from his era to note what has not been done, and to build Jerusalem. Though Blake's belief is confused and selfwilled based on his own excessive devotion to art, for some reason he did capture truth evident from the Bible, that Jerusalem will be built. He missed the point as to who would built it..!

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. (Rev 21:1-3)

The song sung so many times speaks of Britain, as place, the green England of today transformed, just as Isaiah speaks of the earth transformed,

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD. (Isaiah 65:17-25)

This is not a mad visionary, but a picture of God's great work with the earth.

4 April 2018 Russia, Iran and Turkey meet to carve up Syria

The Israeli Government has been concered about the situation in Sryia for mnay years, due to the rise of Iran. Trump has been consistent from the beginning of his campaign that he really does not wish the US to be involved in the mess in Syria. World Israel News reports that Putin has come to Turkey

the presidents of Russia, Iran and Turkey gathered in Ankara on Wednesday in a tripartite summit designed to reach an agreement on ending the civil war and on dividing their influence in war-ravaged Syria. Analysts say that the three countries have very different interests, but they are planning to take advantage of the declining Western assets in the country since Trump’s announcement that he wants out. Commenting on the tripartate meeting, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said, 'This is the first time since the Second World War that a meeting like this was held without the approval of the UN. They are determining Syria’s future without any American representative.'

This scenario fits with what would be expected at the time Ezekiel 38 is fulfilled, where Turkey is in Russia's power. We see now the King of the North and the King of the South.

4 April 2018 Rise Nineveh: The Assryians

The Jerusalem Post reported 'Rise Nineveh' Christians in Iraq celebrate Assyrian New Year and Easter They write

The Easter Mass at the Saint Mary's Assyrian Church of the East was attended by hundreds of worshipers on March 31, the same day on which Juliana Taimoorazy, the founder and president of the Iraqi Christian Relief Council and co-founder of a project called "Rise Nineveh," led members of her group to Mosul to stand on the ruins of Nineveh. ..(they say) returning ancient symbols such as the Lamassu, or Assyrian protective deity that has a head of a man and the winged body of a bull, is essential to reviving JPOst

This is remarkable to the watchman for a few reasons. Firstly it is related to a sign, the sign of the Prophet Jonas / Jonah which was used of the death and ressurection of Yeshua, which occured at Pesach.

The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. (Mat 12:41)

This is another Generation, that of the end time.

Secondly the book of Nahum indicates that it is related to the judgement of all the earth at the End,

The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite. God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies. The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. (Nah 1:1-6)

There is more detail relevant to us now...

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies. (Nahum 1:7-8)

The winged bull god will be cut off as wil all idolatry of the Assryian and their inhertance

The LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name (Nineveh) be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile. Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off. (Nahum 1:14-15)

Thirdy this is interesting as it shows the Assyrian people, of whom it is written,

The LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them. In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance. (Isaiah 19:22-25)

3 April 2018 The Saudi Prince recognises Israel's right to exist

The Jerusalem Post reports, the Atlantic Saudi Arabia's crown prince said Israelis are entitled to live peacefully on their own land in an interview published on Monday in US magazine The Atlantic, another public sign of ties between Riyadh and Jerusalem appearing to grow closer.

As we know 'rights' are a gift from God and nto a right at all.

It was written

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety. (Psa 4:8)

It is truly a sign that they speak of peace..

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (1Thess. 5:1-3)
