On the 17th October Ophelia, remnant of a Tropical Hurricane, hits Ireland, Northen Ireland and Scotland, whips up winds of destructive wildfires in Spain and Portugul and turns Britain's sun and sky an eerie red.
Very odd Hurricane Ophelia
Ophelia was not any Hurricane. "Storm Ophelia was so unusual, it was literally off the charts A graphic depicting the storm’s high speed winds spilled over its boundaries It’s rare for a storm traveling north to stay as strong as Ophelia did: Ocean waters usually get colder as you move up the map, and warm water is what fuels a hurricane’s strength." Verge Vox headline "Wind, rain, and wildfire: the wrath Hurricane Ophelia brought to Europe How a tropical storm pummeling Ireland and the UK is making wildfires in Spain and Portugal worse."
Oddly "Ophelia began as a rather innocuous looking group of clouds in the Atlantic Ocean, several hundred miles south-west of the Azores and roughly on the same latitude as Morocco or northern Florida. Yet even at this stage it was unusual. Most named storms in the Atlantic are generated in warmer waters much further south and, as such, they are generally driven across the ocean by the easterly (blowing westwards) trade winds. They eventually dissipate as they curve north into the Atlantic or make landfall in the Caribbean, Mexico or the US. But what set it apart from other Atlantic hurricanes was its direct route to Europe. While hurricanes do sometimes take a circuitous route westward across the ocean and loop back again towards Europe, this one took a short cut. Then, instead of travelling west, like most Atlantic hurricanes, Ophelia began to head north-east"...then the skys of Britain, "Ophelia also produced a layer of upper level clouds, thick enough to block out much of the sun’s rays directly but thin enough to allow a large amount of diffuse, scattered light to pass through." scientificamerican
But this was not the oddest thing. It so happened that Ophelia changed the course of history!
Ophelia by one day changed Clinton's outcome in Northern Ireland
The Times UK reported,
"Bill Clinton had to postpone an intervention in Northern Ireland’s political stalemate because of Storm Ophelia. ..Mr Clinton had been due to meet the warring political parties in the region yesterday as they struggle to reach a deal to restore the collapsed government. The visit was called off at late notice due to the severe weather warnings. According to Stormont sources, Mr Clinton planned to take the meetings before receiving an honorary doctorate from Dublin City University today. The university is recognising him for his “leadership in building and consolidating peace and reconciliation on the island of Ireland”. The university said that the ceremony would still go ahead." TheTimes UK
Bill Clinton failed to meet the 2 sides, then makes a mess in handling Brexit in his speech at Dublin City University,
"BILL CLINTON has come under fire after mocking Brexit and saying Leave voters had no idea what they were voting for. Mimicking a voter, he said: "I'm sorry we can't stay together, we had a disagreement. Oh my God, I didn't know I was going to lose that customs thing and all these economic benefits. "Oh, why didn't anyone tell me that?" Mr Clinton later travelled direct to Northern Ireland for private meetings with politicians after the ceremony - his intervention in the political stalemate delayed by a day because of Storm Ophelia. Express.co.uk
While Clinton was posing for Selfies in the storm, things were moving elsewhere!! It was reported on the 18th.
"The Government believes that Sinn Féin’s leader in Northern Ireland, Michelle O’Neill, was ready to do a deal with the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) to restore the Stormont Executive but was blocked by senior party figures. Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and British prime minister Theresa May discussed the Northern Ireland talks in a phone call earlier this week." (Irish Times).
UK relations with Ireland are related to relations with Europe, as Ireland is part of Europe. We see while the stormy politics are playing out that England has thick heavy stormy 'apocalyptic' red skies yet is not being damaged, yet Ireland is pounded and its coasts (defences breached) and innundated and Europe suffers the intensity of deadly fires. The weather changed history.
Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word: (Psa 148:7-8)
The stromy political 'sky' refelcted in the Natural Storm
The Bible is very clear that God controls the weather and the following, though not right, capture a message, "An 'unusual' reddish sky and red-looking sun have been reported across many parts of England. The phenomenon was initially seen in the west of England and Wales before spreading to other areas. BBC weather presenter Simon King said it was due to the remnants of Hurricane Ophelia dragging in tropical air and dust from the Sahara. He added that debris from forest fires in Portugal and Spain was also playing a part. Like many Ben Shephard posted that: "Not messing around this light is really freaking us out!", while Henry Tudor, said: "This weird light is very disturbing. I keep expecting four blokes on horses to home galloping out of the sky." Elliot Wagland said: "I just looked out of the window and it appears the world is about to end", (BBC)
For signs, some see it clearly. This is ineeded a sign. The Express reported,
Bea wrote: “The sun's red, the sky's yellow, the world's ending." Nathaniel added: “The sun is moving mad. The world is ending.” Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker also joined in the doom mongering. He wrote: “The sky is eerie. The end is nigh.” Express
(Jews)shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. (Luke 21:24-28)
The sun speaks of the highest political power. Red speaks of blood and war. An ex-US president speaks of peace - but he can't make peace because of the storm, as war is determined. Based on Ezekiel 38 we know Britain will see inescapable conflict with Europe.
Remembering 30 years from the Great Storm
But there is more related to Europe and the UK. The storm comes bearing down, to the day, 30 years after the famous Great Storm damage of 16 and 17 October 1987.
"Other parts of the UK have seen unseasonably warm temperatures. And skies have turned red and yellow as Ophelia drags dust from the Sahara through the atmosphere. Ophelia has arrived from the Azores in the Atlantic Ocean and coincides with the 30th anniversary of the UK's Great Storm of 1987. BBC
The storm of 1987 was similarly odd,
"The storm had initially shown signs of heading for France, missing the UK, before it changed direction fooling “everyone”, Michael Fish says However, the computer decided that the storm was heading towards France and would miss the UK. The emphasis for us was on heavy rain. “But it changed track and at the last minute it headed towards Britain. The Great Storm struck on the night of October 15, 1987, unleashing winds of more than 100mph and killing 18 people in Britain and four in France. It caused massive destruction, throwing transport networks into chaos. The storm is regarded by meteorologists as the worst in Britain since 1703 and was the most destructive in living memory. It also triggered wild temperature changes across the country with variations of 43F/6C measured per hour in the south of the UK. The cost of the clean-up is thought to have been about £1.5billion. l Roughly 15 million trees were lost including six of the seven oaks which gave the Kent town of Sevenoaks its name." Express
1987 Great Storm prevented UK joining EU monetry union
But there was more as the power outages and disruption in London directly changed world events as the economy of the world was changed,
"Following the storm few dealers made it to their desks and stock market trading was suspended twice and the market closed early at 12.30pm. The disruption meant the City was unable to respond to the late dealings at the beginning of the Wall Street fall-out on Friday 16 October, when the Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded its biggest-ever one-day slide at the time, a fall of 108.36. City traders and investors spent the weekend, 17–18 October, repairing damaged gardens in between trying to guess market reaction and assessing the damage.[37] 19 October, Black Monday, was memorable as being the first business day of the London markets after the Great Storm. Wikipedia.
Wikipedia's account of the stock market crash of 1987 directly implicates the storm - and it also highlights - Iran - again in the news due Trump's rejection of the deal on Friday October 13 and again on October 16, 2017.
"On Thursday, October 15, 1987, Iran hit the American-owned (and Liberian-flagged) supertanker, the Sungari, with a Silkworm missile off Kuwait's main Mina Al Ahmadi oil port. The next morning, Iran hit another ship, the U.S.-flagged MV Sea Isle City, with another Silkworm missile. On Friday, October 16, when all the markets in London were unexpectedly closed due to the Great Storm of 1987, the DJIA fell 108.35 points (4.6%) to close at 2,246.74 on record volume. Then-Treasury Secretary James Baker stated concerns about the falling prices. The crash began in Far Eastern markets the morning of October 19, but accelerated in London time—very largely because London had closed early on October 16 due to the storm—by 9.30am the London FTSE100 had fallen over 136 points. Later that morning, two U.S. warships shelled an Iranian oil platform in the Persian Gulf in response to Iran's Silkworm missile attack on the Sea Isle City" Wikipedia
Note this economic disruption was to restrict the global economy for years afterwards. It was as if the storm was against EU prosperity. This economic crash occurs not long after Britain begins to help form the EU as we know it, with the SEA treaty in July 1987, which we discuss in relationship to Revelation 17.
The storm came as there was a storm in Britian's politics over joining a EU currency from June 1987. Thatcher did not agree with the Chancellor of the Exchequer NIgel Lawon 'shadowing' the Deutschmark to the aim of joining the common currency. But the result of Britain's policy after the October '87 crash, caused by the storm, led by the then-Euro-lover Lawson, ironically, made joining the EU currency impossible!
October 26, 1989 "But economists were united in the belief that the new Chancellor would be firmly resolved not to let Britain join the European monetary system, despite the prospect of a $32 billion trade deficit this year (1989), caused in part by Mr. Lawson's decision after the stock market crash of October 1987 to increase liquidity. That set off an import-buying spree instead. Thatcher had dismissed Sir Geoffrey Howe as Foreign Secretary in July, after he sided with Mr. Lawson at a European Community summit meeting and urged her to say when Britain would tie the pound more formally to the West German mark and other European currencies in the European Monetary System. Britain is the last of the major industrial nations in the Community that has not yet joined the system." NewYorkTimes1989
Britain never did join the Euro. Even Nigel Lawson in 2015 chose to be president of Conservatives for Britain, an exit movement ahead of the EU referendum, for entirely pragmatic reasons. Then 30 years later, exactly the era of Revelation 17, speaking of the era of the nations with a common mind, a storm comes named Ophelia, where Ophelia is from the Greek for "Profit".
Ophelia means Profit
"ophelos (from ophello, "heap together"), properly, 'something heaped up'. It occurs 3 times in the Bible" Biblehub
If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die. (1Cor 15:32)
What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? (James 2:14-16)
These are the issues of the profit proud era of the latter day Sodom, where they didn't sek first justice and truth. The storm turning the sun red over London and battering Europe, called profit, surely the 'god' of this world, is a sign put there, so anyone can see "The end is nigh".
Ophelia, meaning something 'heaped up' in the days of Theresa meaning 'Harvest' also leads to thinking of the word 'Armageddon'..a heap of sheaves - of the Great Harvest.
The Bible suggests in prophecy that the most outrageous things would occur in world poltics: alliances would end abruptly and the world would plunge into an unstable time. We are today in the day of political upheaval, not seen in a generation.
25 May 2018 Britain awakes and moves back into the gulf
Events, are moving at such a pace that we don't have time to analyse those with significance in depth.
Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. (Amos 3:6-7)
We hear 'Trump', and we associate it with 'Trumpet', which is the likely origin of the surname which was given to a Trumpeter or Drummer in the Army. The trumpet in the Bible speaks also of a call to war as Amos points out. Amos also says that when the trumpet of war is blown, Yahweh has done it. We are told that what is done is revealed to his servants.
Events, like the last sands in the hourglass, are moving at such a pace that sometimes we don't have time to analyse those with significance in depth.
