Why should Britain gain independence from the European Union easily, when it was so nasty to Israel when it sought independence and actively delayed their independence? Let us consider a possible reason why the British have been mocked for so many years now, and not been successful in their bid for a good deal to go with their independence. Let us look at the events - and at what the Bible says.

Britain's Independence Day
Britain has no National day and no Independence day, because Britain was always free, until bound to the EU by default as the EEC they joined in became the EU.
In 1984 the UK was the third-poorest nation in the EEC Community, yet paid 20% of the budget. Thatcher managed to offend the EEC and negotiate a reduction of the burden. Britain was falling ever deeper into European control (not even being able to sell British chocolate until 2000!), until “In the interests of protecting Britain’s financial sector, David Cameron became the first UK prime minister to veto a EU treaty in 2011.” (History.com) It was dawning on many in Britain that the way the EU was going was not good for Britain, and some thought it had never been good for Britain. On the 23 January 2013 PM David Cameron sought to renegotiate EU membership and promised a referendum if his party was re-elected. His party was re-elected. In 2013 both France and Germany had warned Cameron British membership was not up for 'cherry picked' re-negotiation. This turned out to be correct and Cameron failed to gain major concessions in 2015. He gained some points, but not enough to make happy those who sought more freedom. Cameron announced the referendum 20 February 2016.
The stirrings of Britain coming awake and seeking independence from the EU parallel that of the Jewish state 70 years before. In 1943 (7 May), the Jews had sought American help to form an army for the stateless Jews in Palestine. Just as there was mounting pressure for Independence in Britain with the growth in power of Nigel Farage's Independence Party (UKIP) in 2015 so 70 years before in 1945 there was mounting pressure on a number of fronts on Britain to allow unlimited immigration of mostly displaced Jews to establish a Zionist state.
Since thou (Israel) wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; (Isaiah 43:4-6)
2016
Cameron's announcement of the referendum on 20 February 2016, was 70 years and 1 month after Truman announced on the 19 January 1946 an executive order for a Joint Anglo-American Enquiry on Jewish Problems in Palestine and Europe. trumanlibrary.org
It should be added that the Americans reported by the 20th March 1946 to Truman that the British were determined to take control and there was a rift in the committee. There was also a rift in government. Likewise in 2016 Jeremy Corbyn campaigned with many in Labour to remain (despite a personal history of not liking the EU), yet many others in Labour were leavers. The conservatives also were visibly split with Cameron, despite misgiving, campaigning Remain and Johnson choosing, for reasons known only to himself, to lead a Leave campaign.
On the 23 June 2016, 52% of British voted to leave the European Union (EU). David Cameron resigns. Subsequently Theresa May becomes Prime Minister.
16 June 1946 on the Night of the Bridges the Palmach blew up eight road and rail bridges linking Palestine to neighbouring countries, to disrupt British control. In Operation Agatha Saturday, 29 June, 1946 sometimes called Black Sabbath, the British raided the Jewish Agency and in a huge operation searched for weapons and arrested 2,700 which effectively reduced the ability of Jews to make a state at that time. It was about that same time in June, 70 years before the British people voted to leave the EU, when “members of the Jewish Agency's Executive and the Haganah High Command had met with delegates of the Irgun and Lehi at which the latter, according to intelligence, had stated their intention of asking the Yishuv to participate in a coup (against the British) "for the proclamation of a future Jewish State and the interruption of all relations with the existing Palestine Administration."Wikipedia. It's not chance.
As a result of the raids on the Jewish Agency in June, on 22 July 1946 the Irgun bombed the British administrative headquarters in the southern wing of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem.
If Britain 70 years before thought it best to, in effect, 'arrest' Jewish statehood, why should it come easy to Britain? Why should things go well for Britain before the nations? Even powerful nations can be brought to appear very low and weak.
The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. (1Sa 2:7)
He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty. (Job 12:21)
For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.(Psalm 18:27)
2017
On 14 February 1947 Britain, unable to handle the mounting pressure, handed over to the UN responsibility for Palestine. On the 2 February 2017 MPs voted 498 to 114 to trigger Article 50 to begin the process of leaving the EU, which was formally triggered on 29 March 2017.
If back in February 1947 Britain had handed all Palestine affiars across to the UN with good conscience and a constructive helpful, or at least unbiased attitude to Israel, 70 years later as they handed their case to the EU they also could have been treated helpfully and at least without anti-British bias.
(Things become much more complicated in 2017 as there is an election 8 June 2017 bringing the Northern Irish Unionists the DUP to power on the 26 June after a deal, increasing the power of Labour and reducing the power of Theresa May's government. The DUP are more British that the British, and would not give away Northern Ireland to help achieve a deal. This struck right at the heart of the dastardly plot by the EU to cause Britain to sacrifice Northern Ireland to achieve a deal with the EU. Things weren't going to be simple or easy- for anyone, but the Maker of all Things was ensuring His way would prevail).
A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. (Proverbs 16:9)
On 29 November 1947 the UN Partition Plan, which was another division of the Mandate, offered Jews a 'half loaf' was approved (Resolution 181). It was rejected by Arabs. It is announced in Britain exactly 70 years later on 29 November 2017 that there was agreement to a Brexit divorce bill for a figure much higher than Britain wished, in order to get to the next stage of a deal with the EU. In hindsight this 'agreement' event will likely prove to be as illusory as the Partition Plan.
2018
On 7 February 1948 the British agreed to support the annexation of 'the Arab part' of Palestine by Transjordan, which was a double betrayal. 70 years later, 7th Feb 2018, there is on the same day a Cabinet meeting on Brexit positions, with divisive debate, threats of resignations, accusations of 'arch brexiteers' Eurosceptics seeking a clean break with the EU and those Pro EU wanting the closest possible access to the EU market, in a betrayal of the vote for Independence.
On 14 May 1948 David Ben Gurion made the Declaration of the State of Israel. 70 years later the General Affairs Council of the EU27 was briefed on Brexit, Michel Barnier pointing out they needed to 'set out' and have 'clarity' on the future relationship. Barnier said that “little” progress had been made in negotiations since March that year.
On 15 May 1948 the Israeli War of Independence began. On that day 70 years later Scotland's parliament refuses consent to the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill. On that day also it was revealed in the Times there had been a war of words at No 10 Downing Street the previous day as the backbenchers were called in over the customs unions option, and Theresa May and Jacob Rees-Mogg, a hard Brexiter, clashed. The next day Britain announces a White Paper will be prepared setting out for the first time in detail what Britain is seeking from its future relationship with the EU.
From November 1947 and into the Israeli War of Independence Britain did everything it could to make it hard for Jews to become independent. From handing over key forts to Arabs to preventing Israel from getting weapons, to actively becoming involved in fighting against Israel! The British not only supplied weapons against Israel but helped the Egyptians in their attack in the Sinai. On 7 January 1949 the Israelis shot down 4 British RAF Spitfires (or five) and damaged another two, who had been doing reconnaissance for Egyptian Air Force Spitfire attacks. Two pilots were killed and two captured. Britain prepared for all out war and, but then let it go. Egypt agreed to a truce that day. With this history, why should Britain's bid for Independence be untroubled by outside influence 70 years later? On 7 January 2018 May's government announces that the vote for “The Brexit Deal” will be on the 15 January. On that day “the Exit Deal” with the EU negotiated under the leadership of Therese May and Conservatives, was rejected by the House of Commons by 230 votes, historically the largest defeat ever suffered by any government (even 118 of 317 Conservatives voting against it).

On 24 January 1949 the British, who had been dragging their heels on releasing the Jewish detainees on Cyrus, finally begin to release the last 11,000, all men of fighting age, when it was now too late for them to help. The last detainees leave the by 11 February. On 30 January 1949 Britain, New Zealand and the Netherlands recognize Israel de facto. Australia and Chile recognize Israel de jure. Other sources have Britain's de facto recognition later or on the 29th. Seventy years later in Britain on the 24 of January there are cross party plots afoot but they let go the idea of a second referendum, while still trying to stop independence in the same way holding back fighting men was to stop Israel's independence. It was observed on that day that “thanks to the Wreckers in our own Parliament, the EU is not prepared to give an inch” especially on the 'prison' terms.independencedaily.co.uk On the 29th of January Britain is found dramatically struggling. Theresa May won a “titanic fight with Parliament to keep her Brexit deal alive. MPs backed a plan that gives her a mandate to return to Brussels and demand the Irish backstop is replaced with an alternative...But within seconds, Brussels shot down Mrs May’s new plan. In a statement coordinated with EU capitals, EU Council boss Donald Tusk said: “The Withdrawal Agreement is not open for renegotiation”. In a mammoth series of seven tense votes over two hours, the Government also saw off two dramatic attempts by the Commons to seize control of Brexit. ” brexitcentral.com MPs also vote to prevent a no deal Brexit, while not approving any deal on offer. There was the hope of freedom of the no deal option being taken away, though the type of bondage of the 'Withdrawal Agreement' was rejected. The British 'war' for independence from the EU wasn't over even within its own parliament (with quislings in Parliament) and recognition was not even defacto granted for the British terms of exit.
Before the March 29 deadline, which would have seen a no-deal Brexit and full Independence, fears and faint heart lead to Theresa May seeking a delay. After a stand off with France the EU27 grant a delay to achieve the agreed deal until 31 October: Halloween.
Having fought against the creation of Israel in the war of 1949 Britain gave defacto recognition of their independence finally on 13th May 1949 (a full 2 days after the UN grant recognition). Miriam Haron (1983) puts it, “It took considerable adjustment period before the Foreign Office was willing to concede begrudgingly that the Jewish state had a permanent place among the community of nations.” The Americans recognition of Israel's declared Independence was timely, but the British recognition was delayed. Delayed...just as Brexit was.
After failure to pass a withdrawal agreement, which wasn't for full Independence, there were increasing calls to replace Theresa May. On the 13 May 2019 Jeremy Hunt set out his leadership bid. On the 16 of May 2019 Therese May meets the 1922 committee and agrees to stand down. 1922 was the year Britain was confirmed to fulfil its obligation in the Balfour Declaration to support the establishment of Jewish Homeland. On that day Boris Johnson confirms his bid to be leader establishing that they must leave and become Independent by October 31.
There is no remarkable event in Israel British relations in October 1949, let alone on the 31st. There wasn't anything significant in Israel-British relations on the 29 March 1949 either. The End of Operation Balak to supply Israel with weapons out of Czechoslovakia is dated Oct 31 1949.
On October 31 1949 there were talks with Jordan which petered out by March 1950. Jordan would annex Judea and Samaria, what would be called the 'West Bank' April 25, 1950.
October 31, it seems, is about the EU. It will be 70 years from an early call to form the EEC which became the EU.
On 31 October 1949, at the 75th meeting of the Council of the Organisation for European Economic Cooperation (OEEC), Paul Hoffmann, US Administrator of the Economic Cooperation Administration (ECA), the body responsible for distributing the funds granted under the Marshall Plan, calls on the countries of Western Europe to work towards greater union and to integrate their economies within a large single European market. cvce.eu/en/obj/
It was also the date when Britain first counted the cost of joining Europe.
The British government took its essential decision on European integration in January 1949 and reconfirmed it in October.. In January 1949 the cabinet Economic Policy Committee endorsed a note presented by Bevin and Stafford Cripps in which they argued (inter-alia) that Britain's ability to fight another war should not be impeded by damage to its economic structure through undue dependence on Europe. This decision was reconfirmed in October 1949 and was incorporated into the speech given by Stafford Cripps in reply the appeal of Paul Hoffman (head of the ECA) for closer "integration" in Europe. Stafford Cripps' reply anticipated the 'three circles' logic adopted by Churchill several years later. Britain , it argued, was part of a trans-Atlantic, a Commonwealth and a European world. It could undertake no commitment that would prejudice its other responsibilities. The speech, incidentally, was still being cited as government policy when the British, in 1955, withdrew from the talks that would lead the 'Six' to form the EEC. reviews.history.ac.uk
What is October 31 about ? Possibly not Halloween, the mythological 'release of souls from bondage' but - Bevin and Cripps' point that, “Britain's ability to fight another war should not be impeded by damage to its economic structure through undue dependence on Europe.”
For Britain to leave 70 years after they vowed as policy that they needed to be free of Europe to be able to fight another war, is highly significant in the expected oppositional role of the Merchants in Ezekiel 38, where Gomer, Gaul is France and Gog is a confederation to the North of Israel allied with Persia Iran, and Togarmah which is Turkey.
Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. (Eze 38:5-6)
Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? (Eze 38:13)
The nations didn't leave Israel alone, 70 years ago, on December 9 General Assembly votes for internationalization of Jerusalem under Trusteeship Council administration. However, for whatever reason, Britain voted against. As a result on 13 December the Knesset votes to transfer the seat of government to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. On 26 December, the first Knesset meeting in Jerusalem is held, inside the Jewish Agency building.
Britain finally gave recognition to Israel's independence on 29 April 1950.
In Israel's battle for independence, a battle that had to be fought due to Britain's betrayal, a battle Britain fought against Israel), 1% died including civilians, yet Britain will obtain independence from the EU without blood being shed.
Three dates for Brexit
Curiously there are 3 dates for Brexit. There are 2 other dates other than 31 October. There is a law case indicating it occurred by default on 29 March. Some other nations legislation for dealing with UK citizens began on that date in any case. There is yet another date on 31 May.
When Article 50 timed out on 29 March 2019, the UK and the EU agreed to extend to 12 April. When an extension is made it has to be done in both EU law and UK law. On that occasion, it was: both sides managed to pass proper laws. Another extension was then sought... The UK again drafted our extension properly. It did so by simply moving the deadline in the Act that says we leave to 31 October. But that’s not what the EU did.
Instead, the EU passed legislation granting an extension but with conditions,
“This decision shall cease to apply on 31 May 2019 in the event that the United Kingdom has not held elections to the European Parliament in accordance with applicable Union law and has not ratified the Withdrawal Agreement by 22 May 2019.” spectator.co.uk
As the Withdrawal Agreement was not ratified, this second extension of time ceased to apply on the 31 May. 70 years ago in an attempt to make peace at Lausanne from mid May to the 31 they were trying to sort the boundaries of Israel, “It was impossible to draw a line of partition determined by purely ethnic criteria, such as would separate the two nations without including a number of Arabs in the Jewish State and vice-versa. .” unispal.un.org
There was no agreement at that time as the God of Israel only was to decide, just as 70 years later the attempts in mid May for Theresa May to gain the crucial 'Withdrawal Agreement' failed and led to her resignation to the 1922 committee, and a curious situation where the EU hoping to hold on to Britain, is breaking its own law. The Rule of Law is at all times as it is enforced, and the will of the God of Israel prevails.
After 70 years
The parallel events 70 years apart point to the 70 years predicted by Isaiah.
Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste. And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot. Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered. And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth. And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing. (Isaiah 23:14-18)
The end of the prophecy is that trade is turned to God. It is a prophecy of the end of the rule of nations and the begin of the open rule of the God of Israel.
The British slide into 70 years of being forgotten as a vassal EU state began with ideals of de-colonisation, as suddenly it was not thought good to have an empire. Though the Commonwealth was formed, most in Britain forgot its value. The slide further was achieved with post WW2 Socialism that takes from the wealthy to make everyone poor, except a few favoured. In addition the Marshall Plan saw America, a rising power, pour investment into West Germany as a bulwark against the Soviets, thereby creating completion for Britain and allowing the rise of Germany without them having to spend anything on defence as the British had to. As many have observed Britain had struggled to win the war, and they lost the subsequent peace.
Only recently the Iranians have called the British pirates for seizing a tanker of the rock Gibraltar with Iranian oil evading EU sanction. In response Iran sought to attack a British oil tanker BP British Heritage, but it was defended. Gibraltar is a rock, as was Tyre. Gibraltar is a curious anachronism as a vestige of the power of Britain as a global empire. The Straight of Gibralter is also called the Pillars of Hercules in Antiquity. The Greeks identified the god of Tyre (king of the city) as Heracles / Hercules (S. Ribichini Dictionary of deities and demons in the Bible).forumancientcoins.com Therefore there is a link between Tyre and Britain, in addition to the trade in tin and the role of Merchants. See more here.
Also Tyre of Daughter of Tarshish
Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee: With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures: By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches: (Ezekiel 28:2-5)
Britain is associated, more than any other, with the wealth generated in the Industrial Revolution, which in an environment of religious reform and Bible study led to a dramatic increase in 'understanding'.
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect (upright) in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. (Ezekiel 28:13-15)
In pride Britain's leaders forgot after WW1 that Jerusalem was the Holy Mountain and the Mandate they were entrusted with was for the Holy Land promised to the Jews, the centre of Eden. Seventy years later they now seek trade: they will even seek it…though Boris Johnson's track record includes criticism of Israel, and is not of overwhelming support, in relationship to trade he clearly took London to Israel.
I was proud to be the Mayor who led the first ever London-Israel trade mission. I’m proud that the UK is now Israel’s biggest trading partner in Europe and we saw huge investments both ways, partly actually as a result of that trip. We did a lot of good business but we want to step it up. There’s much much more to be done and I will be actively supporting trade and commercial engagements of all kinds.” jewishnews.timesofisrael.com
Boris Johnson also has laid out a path to revitalise the Commowealth.
As we celebrate Commonwealth Day tomorrow, the Commonwealth’s 53 members comprise a third of humanity. Of those 2.4 billion people spread across 6 continents, 60% are under the age of 30. They are joined with us by ties of history and friendship and the English language. They share our values of democracy, human rights and the rule of law. And our natural affinity finds its expression through the institution of the Commonwealth. Since Britain decided to join what became the European Union in 1972, the EU has recorded average annual economic growth of just over 2%. Yet, over the same period, the Commonwealth’s economies have expanded twice as fast – by an average of 4.4% every year. Today, the Commonwealth has a combined GDP of $10.5 trillion, accounting for almost 14% of the global economy. India alone has an economy of $2.3 trillion and annual growth of 7% – faster than any EU country. All of this represents a huge opportunity for British business.
The good news is that when we leave the EU, we will regain the power to sign free trade agreements with our Commonwealth friends, allowing the UK to make the most of thriving markets. Brexit will give us the ability to open a new era of friendship with countries across the world. gov.uk/government/speeches
This vision looks like the Tarshish with the 'young lions' spoken of in Ezekiel 38, and the revival of the 'harlot' trader, the traders who would even sell themselves for hire, the Tarshish of Isaiah 23. Of the great King (Anointed, Messiah Christ it is written),
The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him. For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. (Psalm 72:10-12)
2019 British Election Results
Boris Johnson's government reached a modified Withdrawal Agreement with the EU before the October 31 deadline. However it was not voted on due to parlimentary rebels anti Brexit maneuvering. As it was a much clearer break with the EU and likely had the numbers, this was puzzling. Knowing the end from Prophecy, we could only conclude that the exit date was not to be a freeing of the souls on October 31. Subsequently there was pressure on Boris Johnson's goverment to seek an extension, which was granted by the EU to January 31. As none could govern there was presure to hold an election. The election date was eventually set for December 12.
The British Conservatives, now purged of europhile rebels and clearly pro-Brexit, amazingly were elected in places that had been Labour for generations, reaching a total of 365 seats. Our Heavenly Father must like the number 365 as it is the number of days in a solar year. It is also the number of negative mitzvot commandments. This is an 80 seat majority, where 80 is for fatness, or the completion of a thing multiplied by power. The Tories gained 66 new seats, two times the number of man, while losing some, resulting in a net gain of 48 seats. The results came through in the evening, that is towards the 13th of December. The very day, 70 years before, Jews in newly independent Israel moved their government to Jerusalem.
The most significant outcome based on the 70 years prophecy is that on the news of the Conservative win America's President Trump immediatly promised PM Johnson that "Britain and the United States will now be free to strike a massive new Trade Deal after BREXIT."
It is no surprise to us that Britain should seek a trade deal with America, and that it's aim on leaving the EU is to strike trade deals. The prophecy says that the revived nation of Tyre (which means rock as a in 'white cliffs fo Dover' and 'rock of Gibrater') will trade with all nations on earth and by so doing gain a level of prosperity which wwill be so great that in the judgement of the nations that wealth will be retained by God and turned to God's Service. We would expect Britain to excel specifically in the textile and clothing industry.
after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth. And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
