Confusion describes the consuming Brexit debates in Britain's politics. Confusion describes the current impasses and reports in American politics.
The French seem in perpetual protest, yet it seems not to affect the EU. It is written In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. (Psalm 71:1). Let us consider why there is Confusion.
Britain in Confusion
The BBC intones, “There's a lot of confusion and argument about the way forward for the UK.” (27th March). Fundamentally the people of Britain were divided during the campaign and voted by a margin of about a million in favour of exiting, a path the ruling classes didn't favour. In addition such was the fervour of the divisive campaign that many refused to accept the result (a perennial problem of democracy). Into this mix comes the negotiation with the European Union (EU) for a 'deal' which became a 3rd compromise 'mid-way' forward. There was a struggle in parliament, backed by the House of Lords, for a 'meaningful vote' on that 3rd option compromise mid-way deal. With another election there was stronger division and the balance of power given to a minor party, the DUP. This minor party the DUP from Northern Ireland wished for a strong break and would never accept the EU's wish to hold onto Northern Ireland, and split it from the UK. This fact combined with partisanship, and those holding onto the hope of never exiting at all, prevents the 3rd mid-way compromise deal (in addition to aspects of The EU Deal, from the British side, seeming to favour the EU). Then the majority voted to reject both 'No Deal' and 'The EU Deal', for various and even opposing reasons. Then the Parliament 'seizes control' and votes on 8 options, including another referendum but none of the 8 gain anything that looks like a majority support. Then, having rejected all options they have come up with in 2 years, they vote to extend the date! The BBC is as confused as the parliament. But this is because they don't understand God's deal. Do you notice how the matter is dramatically on the news almost nightly? Take notice of the Confusion!
They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols. (Isaiah 45:16)
The EU is a humanistic human made system, deliberately made without God, an idol. From the eve of the vote in 2016 we suspected, based on an understanding of prophecy generally and Ezekiel 38 in particular, that our expectations of years were to be fulfilled: that Britain would leave the EU, to then be in opposition to the standing image of Daniel, EU and Russia as 2 legs of a fractured empire. Britain therefore had to be alienated from the EU. Note how the long process at every point has upset and annoyed the EU leaders and Officials! Not of the least importance is that Britain's people actually elected Nigel Farage, who is pro-Europe but Anti-EU, to the EU! The efforts of those who wish most to stay in the EU have muddied the process so much that the process, including the 'Meaningful Vote', has repeatedly upset the EU, to the point of 'cherry picked' cake memes. Take notice that human wisdom is turned against itself!
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. (1Corinthinans 3:18-20)
Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that makes all things; that stretches forth the heavens alone; that spreads abroad the earth by myself; That frustrates the tokens of the liars, and makes diviners mad; that turns wise men backward, and makes their knowledge foolish; (Isaiah 44:24-25)
The elites, the people who seem to have power, the intelligentsia all seem to favour staying in the EU, yet their own wisdom is turned to their own confusion. Because those who seem to rule don't actually rule: the God of Israel does. The servant of Christ listens when they are told,
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. (Romans 13:1-4)
Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, (Titus 3:1)
We have a 4,000 year record from Adam to John showing how the God of the Bible interferes in nations the kingdom of men. Daniel shows Nebuchadnezzar the leader of the superpower kingdom of men who really rules!
This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men. (Daniel 4:17)
Nebuchadnezzar, a
builder of idols, was shown the end of what he and those following
him would be enabled by God to build: a great standing image, though
weak, as the feet would be fractured into part Roman iron and part
Humanist clay. But many would chose rightly not to bow to it.
Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah choose to go a fiery furnace rather
than bow down to the image. Many would see it for what it is, and not
give such power to men, as Daniel would not, choosing rather the
lion's den than to give power to a man.
They will struggle to build the image of Nebuchadnezzar as they have a mix of materials that don't cleave together. Britain was part of it, indeed could be said post WW2 to have founded the EEC, and therefore a maker of the EU. Democracy will be shown to be weak and confused. Yet the autocracy of the EU will not prosper: The end is utter destruction:
Whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. (Daniel 2:43-44)
It appears Britain will now leave the EU April 12, 2019. We note that this is just before the Passover, Pesach Friday 19 April, where God cried to Egypt, 'Let my son go' (Exodus 4:23). The EU as a continuation of the 1st Reich, the Holy Roman Empire, and is Spiritually Sodom and Egypt (Revelation 11:8), of which it is written there is to be a call to all to “come out” that they receive not her plagues (Revelation 18:4). It cannot be coincidence. The people of God are called out of the empire of idolatry to the image of humanism, the inheritor of Babylon, Egypt and Sodom.
America in Confusion
If the divided democracy of Britain is seen as ineffective, weak, confused and a global grief, that of America is worse, its leadership the subject of daily derision and its congress and senate in an ineffective gridlock of failed legislation and investigations.
Due to deep
divisions on allowing illegals into the nation, America has gone into
'shutdown' over failure to pass funding. After two years of
investigation of the elected American President (quaintly called a
'witch hunt'), on what is emerging as the flimsy basis of a political
biased unverified dossier, the elected Congress is thrown into
confusion. The investigation that promised them evidence to impeach
the President for 'collusion with Russia', turned out to have
nothing! Worse, its findings actually proved Trump's team
refused an offer to collude with Russia. In addition, one of the
great names that stood up against the President, a lawyer named
Michael Avanatti, to offer evidence of 'bad conduct' against women,
has himself astoundingly and embarrassingly been charged with both
violence to a female and more seriously “indicted by
two different sets of federal prosecutors (on opposing coasts, no
less) for trying to extort more than $20 million from Nike (a
blue-chip company” Zero Hedge.
There emerged confusion on collusion. We see an unprecedented level of attack on a President, yet is it truly justified? But who is confused, and who is embarrassed?
Monday has probably been the single most embarrassing day for members of "the resistance" and their partners in the cable news media since Nov. 7, 2016. Not only did Pulitzer prize winning journalist Glenn Greenwald trash the Russian collusion narrative as a "total fraud and scam" and "the saddest media spectacle I've ever seen," but the arrest of former Stormy Daniels attorney, one-time 2020 wannabe and prominent Trump antagonist Michael Avenatti has sent cable news reporters combing through their feeds to hastily delete any embarrassing tweets and photos.” Zero Hedge Zero Hedge
If they had sought truth, if they had sought to deal truly and not to damage and hurt, they would not have been embarrassed.
Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me. (Psalm 35:26)
It gets worse as in an attempt to attack support for the American President an American actor hired others to act out an attack on himself in Chicago, which was duly reported and made much of by others, to their confusion and shame when it was found to be false. This is truly a low in a Democracy. It is the failure of Democracy. It is before all the world and presents a picture where America is shown as irrevocably emotionally divided and weak.
The division is not about who is president, but about a fundamental world view, what they stand for. Trump's team is accused by New Republic of 'Christiansation of US Foreign Policy', especially after Trump signs the Golan to Israel and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited the Western Wall and speaks to CBN News “it is very possible that President Trump is a modern-day Esther poised to defend Israel and save the Jewish people.” The confused Democrat ideal in opposition, perhaps stands for everything not Christian, as it is confused it is hard to tell.
The deep irreconcilable division in the US parallels that of the attitude to the EU in Britain. Whereas in Britain it is about the image of the EU and not cleaving to it, in America it is about giving the power to men (or women or people who refuse to identify as either) as opposed to God. As Trump knows, the moment the majority of his supporters think he isn't doing as God wills they won't support him. In fact in all history any US President hasn't been be able to do anything which isn't in God's plan, but due to the rise of humanism, the lines now are made clear.
In America this division had a persistent and hysterical anti-Russian catch-cry. In Britain, the division led to persistent and loud anti-EU rhetoric. Those most against leaving the EU have led to the most EU angst as they prevented the Deal.
This division and weakness, will lead to the situation shown clearly in Ezekiel 38, where none can stand against the power of the Standing Image as it seeks world domination by the control of Jerusalem as Gog, the leader of Rosh thinks the 'evil thought' and says “I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.” (Ezekiel 38:11-12)
During the current confusion in the EU, the foreign policy of Trump's team has prospered pragmatic peace not only in Israel but in the entire region, holding back Iran. Any 'peace' deal was dead after Oslo as soon as the Arab Islamic violence came after it was signed. Yet the weakness remains, and the more Congress opposes the President the more the role of America globally is reduced and there will be such weakness that there will be no effective opposition to the 'evil thought' and move to invade the land at rest, but words..
For both Britain and America for just this moment the balance of power has been given to the rejection of the Image and the absolute power of man, so the plan ofYahweh Elohim (He who will be Mighty Ones) may be worked out, that there be confusion to those who Hate the God of Israel.
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. (James 3:16-18)
Remember Nebuchadnezzar's image?
Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob. And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out. There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked. (Isa 48:20-22)
And more so
I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him. But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked. (Isaiah 57:19-21
In Babel they tried to build a tower to 'their name' and were confounded and scattered (Genesis 11). What we are seeing is the confusion and scattering in politics through the issues of their own envy, hate and lack of inner peace for not getting 'their way', to the point that the stars the powers in the highest places in heavens of politics are shaken!
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.(Luke 21:25-26)
Because soon the stone rejected, made without hands by God, Christ Messiah will come to save those who would choose fire rather than worship man and destroy the 'image',
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. (Luke 21:27)
