Searching For the Truth: Israel

1) History of Israel

The Bible gives a detailed history of Israel, the people, their strengths and failures, genealogies, invasions of Israel by other nations, prophecies the Psalms and more. The following quotation reveals the destiny of Israel and other nations.(Genesis 12:1-12)”

“Now Yahweh said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: .. Abram, his family and the people “they had gotten in Haran;” went into the land of Canaan; and and went on to Sichem, where Yahweh again appeared unto Abram, and’ said, Unto thy seed will I give this land. ... And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth. (Genesis 12:1-12)

The blessing and cursing is directed at all mankind. These promises were also made to Isaac, Abrahams’ son and his grandson Jacob.

Daily we are seeing on the news the devastation of Israel by the barbaric Hamas terrorists and the response of Israel at this declaration of a war which was begun by Hamas with its cruelty on the old, the women, the children and babies with indescribable acts of violence. We are also seeing world wide condemnation of Israel. For what? For fighting for its survival as a nation and save its people? The Bible clearly gives Yahweh’s condemnation on those who would invade his land:

Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Yahweh: Thus saith the Lord Yahweh; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession: Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord Yahweh; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people: (Ezekiel 36:1-3)

And Western nations still think that a Two State Solution to take another part of Israeli land on the mountains will be the answer to the problem (Final Solution). There have been numerous prophecies about the mountains of Samaria and Judea in the latter days. It is “written” that Israel will dwell on those mountains when they have been gathered from dispersion among the nations in the last days.

We are seeing an attempt at a repetition of the holocaust that saw the death of six million Jews by the Nazis during World War 11. Many Jews who survived then fled from Europe and sought refuge in countries such as the USA and Australia where they led peaceable lives and enriched those countries with their contributions in law, medicine ,science and technology. There are facts that have been ignored in the history or deliberately hidden in the matter of the Jews and the Arabs and the many attacks that Israel has endured from terrorists in its short return to its homeland..

Consider the truth about the Meaning of “Palestine” and What it Was.

There was no country called Palestine before AD135. Historic records reveal the name was created by the Romans with the attempt to destroy the Jews and any relationship of the Jews to Israel. The Romans were the last of the great ancient Empires to invade Israel and most of the Jews who survived the invasion and attacks by the Romans were scattered among the nations.

Palaestina was applied by the Roman Empire to Israel (AD135) to eradicate Jewish identification with Israel. Large Jewish communities existed in Jerusalem and Tiberius, but the land following AD 70 was subject to the domination of invaders: Arabs, Crusaders, Mamluks and the Ottoman(Turkish) Empire.

Before 1948 following 400 years of war and Ottoman neglect, Palestine was a downtrodden wasteland, with a poverty stricken population. In the 1800’s visitors to the land have vividly described the desolation that they witnessed :

1n 1835 Alphonse de Lamartine wrote that “Outside the city of Jerusalem we saw no living object, heard no living sound...a complete eternal silence reigns in the town, in the highways, in the country.”

In 1844 William Makepeace Thackeray wrote, “The district is quite deserted...you ride among what seem to be so many petrified waterfalls. We saw no animals...scarcely a dozen little birds in the whole course of the ride”.

In 1867 Mark Twain wrote: “A desolation is here that not even imagination can grace...hardly a tree or shrub anywhere....of all lands there are for dismal scenery, I think Palestine must be the prince...sorrowful and despondent”. Another described the land as “denuded, desertified, depopulated, barren, desolate wasteland”


2) THE AWAKENING: Jews and Gentile

About 1875 anti Jewish pogroms rocked Russia. Russian Jews created the first wave of migration of Jews called “Aliyah” With attacks on Jews increasing in eastern Europe the need for a Jewish homeland was becoming aparent. In Switzerland in 1897 Theodor Herzel’s movement for a homeland quckly spread. Ten years from the day he envisioned Zionism he died of a heart attack aged forty four. He had written in his diary in 1897, “In Basel in Switzerland he established the Zionist movement and the concept of a Jewish Jewish State", but he died before he could see the state, and was eventually buried on Mount Herzl facing toward Jerusalem.

In 1905 Russian and Polish pogroms reached an all time high and a second wave, Aliyah, of Jews went to Palestine. They were full of idealism and swiftly moved into the swamplands as soon as it as it could be purchased.

From 1880 Jewish refugees, including many orphans, out of persecution went to Israel joining those of the nineteenth century, from Russia and Europe. In 1948 “Arabs” were mainly recent immigrants from Syria (eg Abbas’ family), Lebanon, Iraq and Egypt (eg Arafat’s family), Arabs, Of those who had not fled in 1948, almost 40% were Christians. The population also included other Christians and Muslims, placed there by Turkey from Eastern Europe. The indigenous were Jews, Druzes and Bedouins. There were NO Palestinians.

Prior to the Roman period the Jewish homeland had been subject to invasions by Assyria , Babylon, Persia, Greece, Egypt and Rome. The Jews had survived for many centuries but many had been forced to flee into other nations, but a remnant always survived in their homeland. An example is Cyrus the benevolent king of Persia who recognised the Jews’ right to return to their homeland after seventy years in captivity in Babylon, to restore their temple and worship of their God, They returned to Israel and restored the Temple and towns. This is all recorded in detail giving the names and genealogies of those who returned.

In the New Testament we can read the records of genealogies from the time of Adam to to the birth of Israel’s Messiah. This is again evidence of the Jews’ long time association with the land that the Romans renamed as Palestine in AD 135.

By1917 Lord Balfour saw a need for a Jewish homeland for displaced Jews because of the long period of persecution of Jews in Europe and during the war.

The Balfour Declaration made certain provisions regarding the “ Palestinian Jewish State “:

that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non Jewish communities in Palestine”.

The Jews of Israel are now facing an invasion in an attempt to destroy their nation. They are fighting back to survive the attempt to destroy their people and take possession of their country.

Israel had been seen as a homeland for the Jews. The Balfour Declaration was followed by the Mandate system in a Covenant of the League of Nations after World War 1.

The country was defined as Jewish Palestine. It was not was not considered Arab.

In 1920 Article 22 of the Covenant of the League of Nations. (which was ratified as Article 80 of the UN Charter) defined Palestine as Palestinian Jews and would be reconstituted as the Jewish Commonwealth. Jewish Palestine was not considered Arab.

When Germany was defeated in WW1, so too was the Ottoman Empire as its ally, The southern part of its empire, known as Palestine was “mandated to Britain. In 2,000 years no other country had had a homeland in Palestine. In the 1880’s the Jews had begun migrating into Palestine. They began to revitalise the land and rid it of swamps. Along with the Jews some Arabs also immigrated into the land from neighbouring lands. There was never an attempt to rid the land of the Arabs.


3) DIVIDING the LAND

In 1923 the British divided the “Palestine ‘ portion of the Ottoman Empire into two parts. Britain made deals with Egypt and France to gain control over the Suez Canal and oil reserves in Kerkut. 77% of the mandate, Trans-Jordan, was given to the Saudi Arabian king’s brother. 5% was ceded to the French controlled Syrian Mandate. In 1946 Trans – Jordan was renamed Jordan erasing the Jews connection to the Jordan. Britain in effect drove the Jews out of Jordan. The Jews were given 8% of the Palestinian Jewish Mandate.

We could pause at this point and ask What prompted the British to give the Jews only 8% 0f the land?

In 1947 a UN Resolution, 181, was a partition plan to divide the remaining 18% of the mandated land into a second Palestinian Arab state, and, a Jewish state. The UN voted on the partition with 133 votes for, the resolution and only 13 against t which were from from Muslim countries. “

Britain abstained”

On the 14th May 1948 The Jews declared their own State of Israel. The next day Arab armies from seven neighbouring states invaded the newly formed Israel. Against overwhelming numbers Israel lost 1% of its population, but the Israelis won the war. They could now establish their own Jewish home on a small area of their ancient homeland.. The British had given the Arabs Trans-Jordan. In 1948 they illegally invaded the area reserved for the Jewish homeland and took Jerusalem and the West Bank to become Jordan, seeking to erase the Jewish connection to the Jordan..

Transforming the Land 1948 to 1960: Israel Vindicated

The Following outlines the information obtained from visiters to the land in 1960, twelve years after the establishment of the new state of Israel. It was a land transformed and met the requirements laid out in the Balfour declaration. There was a transformed landscape and lifestyle for the new state of Israel. A Democracy, with Arabs having full political rights, was in place. with no discrimination regarding race or religion. Local councils existed and in the Fifth Knesset, elected on the 15th August 1961 there were 7 Arabs out of the 120 members.

For all citizens, including Arabs, Christians and Bedouins, the economic situation was greatly improved with modern farming methods for all communities. 80% of Arabs owned the soil that they tilled and their farms flourished. Arab and Jewish wage scales were being equated at a level unknown anywhere else in the Middle East. A revolution had taken place in the education of Arab children, including girls, at all levels. In 1960 over 100 Arab students were at the University and Haifa Technion. The teaching of Hebrew in the schools, aimed at equality in job opportunity. Arab villages were included in the network of health and social welfare services. Issues of marriage and divorce were dealt with by the religious laws of each faith and administered by their own courts. There were new buildings, better housing, a well run clean air port, drained swamps, trees planted and Jewish and Arab children were , now wearing shoes The Bedouins had a good water supply and their children an education. The British had given the Arabs Trans-Jordan and in 1948 Trans-Jordan illegally invaded and took Jerusalem and the West Bank, and was renamed Jordan. The Jews were driven out of Jordan. by the British and were give f.ar more territory than the Jews. Today we are seeing the outcomes of Palestinian terrorism in Gaza, despite Israel providing water and electricity to Gaza. In return The terrorists have bombed Israel and built tunnels under Israel by which they could infiltrate Israel.

Those called 'Palestinians' in 2008 were given more land, Gaza, from where they regularly attacked Israel and from tunnels through which they can infiltrate Israel As mentioned above Israel received a small percentage of the Mandate. Consider the map below which shows the total amount of land that was given to the Arabs and, how little the Jews have received. The Arabs have instigated assaults, aggression, and wars against the Jews which have continued against Israel since 1948. in 1956 1967,1968 in1973 and now in 2023.

Now the Western nations, since the Clinton and Obama administrations, have been calling for a Two State solution. How would this solve the problem other than to encourage and enable the Islamic Arabs called 'Palestinians' to attack and seize more of Israel’s Promised, Land Samaria and Judea?

How many of these nations are acting against the cries and protests of those supporting those called 'Palestinians', world wide? How many are now against the Jews and igniting anti-semitism in once God fearing nations?

Western nations since the Obama administrations have been calling for a Two state solution. This would take more of the Jews’ land, the West Bank. The Arabs need to be taught what the Jews brought to them in 1948 and including many of the inventions that they have given to mankind world-wide. world’s people . use daily

Let them hear the Words of the Creator

There is a judgement yet to come. Read what the Creator has said in Ezekiel 36 and can be found in other prophets.

Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Yahweh; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession: Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord Yahweh Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:
Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LordYahweh; Thus saith the Lord Yahweh to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about; Therefore thus saith the Lord Yahweh Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey. So prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord Yahweh; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen: Therefore thus saith the Lord Yahweh; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame. (Ezekiel 36:1-7)
