3) DIVIDING the LAND
In 1923 the British divided the “Palestine ‘ portion of the Ottoman Empire into two parts. Britain made deals with Egypt and France to gain control over the Suez Canal and oil reserves in Kerkut. 77% of the mandate, Trans-Jordan, was given to the Saudi Arabian king’s brother. 5% was ceded to the French controlled Syrian Mandate. In 1946 Trans – Jordan was renamed Jordan erasing the Jews connection to the Jordan. Britain in effect drove the Jews out of Jordan. The Jews were given 8% of the Palestinian Jewish Mandate.
We could pause at this point and ask What prompted the British to give the Jews only 8% 0f the land?
In 1947 a UN Resolution, 181, was a partition plan to divide the remaining 18% of the mandated land into a second Palestinian Arab state, and, a Jewish state. The UN voted on the partition with 133 votes for, the resolution and only 13 against t which were from from Muslim countries. “
“ Britain abstained”
On the 14th May 1948 The Jews declared their own State of Israel. The next day Arab armies from seven neighbouring states invaded the newly formed Israel. Against overwhelming numbers Israel lost 1% of its population, but the Israelis won the war. They could now establish their own Jewish home on a small area of their ancient homeland.. The British had given the Arabs Trans-Jordan. In 1948 they illegally invaded the area reserved for the Jewish homeland and took Jerusalem and the West Bank to become Jordan, seeking to erase the Jewish connection to the Jordan..
Had the Jews met the provisions of Lord Balfour’s Declaration? Let the reader judge.
Transforming the Land 1948 to 1960: Israel Vindicated
The Following outlines the information obtained from visiters to the land in 1960, twelve years after the establishment of the new state of Israel. It was a land transformed and met the requirements laid out in the Balfour declaration. There was a transformed landscape and lifestyle for the new state of Israel. A Democracy, with Arabs having full political rights, was in place. with no discrimination regarding race or religion. Local councils existed and in the Fifth Knesset, elected on the 15th August 1961 there were 7 Arabs out of the 120 members.
For all citizens, including Arabs, Christians and Bedouins, the economic situation was greatly improved with modern farming methods for all communities. 80% of Arabs owned the soil that they tilled and their farms flourished. Arab and Jewish wage scales were being equated at a level unknown anywhere else in the Middle East. A revolution had taken place in the education of Arab children, including girls, at all levels. In 1960 over 100 Arab students were at the University and Haifa Technion. The teaching of Hebrew in the schools, aimed at equality in job opportunity. Arab villages were included in the network of health and social welfare services. Issues of marriage and divorce were dealt with by the religious laws of each faith and administered by their own courts. There were new buildings, better housing, a well run clean air port, drained swamps, trees planted and Jewish and Arab children were , now wearing shoes The Bedouins had a good water supply and their children an education. (1959-60 L.F Rushbrook Williams, Fellow of All Saints College, Oxford, and 1962 “Introducing Israel” by Joan Comay) .
The British had given the Arabs Trans-Jordan and in 1948 Trans-Jordan illegally invaded and took Jerusalem and the West Bank, and was renamed Jordan. The Jews were driven out of Jordan. by the British and were give f.ar more territory than the Jews. Today we are seeing the outcomes of Palestinian terrorism in Gaza, despite Israel providing water and electricity to Gaza. In return The terrorists have bombed Israel and built tunnels under Israel by which they could infiltrate Israel.
Those called 'Palestinians' in 2008 were given more land, Gaza, from where they regularly attacked Israel and from tunnels through which they can infiltrate Israel As mentioned above Israel received a small percentage of the Mandate. Consider the map below which shows the total amount of land that was given to the Arabs and, how little the Jews have received. The Arabs have instigated assaults, aggression, and wars against the Jews which have continued against Israel since 1948. in 1956 1967,1968 in1973 and now in 2023.
Now the Western nations, since the Clinton and Obama administrations, have been calling for a Two State solution. How would this solve the problem other than to encourage and enable the Islamic Arabs called 'Palestinians' to attack and seize more of Israel’s Promised, Land Samaria and Judea?
How many of these nations are acting against the cries and protests of those supporting those called 'Palestinians', world wide? How many are now against the Jews and igniting anti-semitism in once God fearing nations?
Western nations since the Obama administrations have been calling for a Two state solution. This would take more of the Jews’ land, the West Bank. The Arabs need to be taught what the Jews brought to them in 1948 and including many of the inventions that they have given to mankind world-wide. world’s people . use daily
Let them hear the Words of the Creator
There is a judgement yet to come. Read what the Creator has said in Ezekiel 36 and can be found in other prophets.
Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Yahweh; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession: Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord Yahweh Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:
Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LordYahweh; Thus saith the Lord Yahweh to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about; Therefore thus saith the Lord Yahweh Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey. So prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord Yahweh; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen: Therefore thus saith the Lord Yahweh; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame. (Ezekiel 36:1-7)
