I was sent an article in the Washington Post headlining Secession as a lesser of two evils. Secession is another word for Two State Solution. This is where meddling with God's Holy land and seeking to divide it leads. God divides right back, so that they seek now to apply the Two State Solution to .. America!
For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. (Joel 3:1-2)
This prophecy is not referring to events in the past, but rather to the near future. The text connects Nations trying to divide the land, which has been an ongoing activity for the last one hundred years, to the future war that God calls for, which corresponds to Armageddon of Revelation 16. The text then swiftly goes to speak of Tyre, Sidon and the coast of 'Palestine' or Pelesheth Philistines who occupied the area of Gaza. These areas are now all occupied by warring factions of the PLO, which only agree in that they seek the utter destruction of Israel. They have claimed the mantle of 'Palestinians' for the purpose of dispossessing Israel. One can believe that Joel is speaking of them, as they seek to sell those of Jerusalem to the sons of the Grecians (Yavan), which is those Western sons of Greece who still use the Greek alphabet. For years terrorist branches of the PLO have been taking money from the sons of the West to sell those of Jerusalem. It is likely they will do more, as we are told that Jerusalem is flattened by earthquake, indicating that perhaps Jews are no longer in residence there, or perhaps they flee as in the days of Uzziah's earthquake. The point is that we are in the era when the Nations speak with one voice of Partition or Two State Solution, seeking to part God's land.
But the God of Israel Yahweh Elohim He who Will Be Mighty Ones is not only calling all nations to war, He has been also enacting revenge and parting the peoples of nations leading to calls for what is in fact 'Two State Solutions' in their own lands!
An article in the Washington Post, Dec 31, 2020, the mouth of the power of the American Capitol admits that the whole nation is so badly divided now that they seek a Two State Solution, either in Civil War or Secession.
“Secession might seem like the lesser of two evils. It's also less likely. At least it's not civil war- and other countries do it all the time but breaking up the union would be next to impossible here”
The article goes on to speak of those calling for “National Divorce”, of Ted Cruz speaking of the Texas Secession movement and those in Oregon who wish to move their territory to Idaho. A professor Griffiths at Syracuse University points out that it is inevitable, as since 1945 the number of nations has tripled and there are 60 active secessionist movements. The writer worries there is a youthful element that seeks to use guns and begin a civil war, and proposes that secession is a 'civilised way', though the author sees hurdles for Texas if the Federal Government and Courts do not agree to secession and pragmatics of the citizenship of division. The point they make is that
“The political parties don’t merely reflect different ideologies but different fundamental values, different ways of life….But the biggest reason to separate is the most glaring and the most frightful to contemplate: The citizens of the United States are losing faith in the validity of their institutions and their founding myths. In the place of solidarity, a vast and powerful anger is building..” spokesman.com
This is an opinion, but there is no doubt from the evidence cited including the Ted Cruz statement in Texas, that many would agree with it. There is a pervasive spirit of implacable Division.
God has been turning what the American Government of Washington wished to do to Israel, back on itself. In Israel Arabs are now calling themselves Israelis in a move to unity (israpundit)– whereas in America Jews and Arabs might also agree if they were in the same state in the same political party, but woe be if one is a Democrat in California and the other a Republican in Texas!
Myopic America could go look at what happened to Britain after they divided off Jordan from the Mandate for Palestine given to the Jews for a state and promised it to an Arab clan they favoured in the 1920s. In 1946 the British supported the division of the Mandate forming of the Emirate of Transjordan, which then went on to invade Israel in 1948. The Jordanian Royals now struggle to rule now as they don't have the numbers when compared to other Arabs, Syrians and Egyptians who have come to live there. After the division from the 1920's the British Empire became weaker, devolving into the Commonwealth. The weakness became even worse when Britain's Government stopped Jews going to what was then called Palestine, and favoured another Partition of the Mandate by the UN in 1947. Britain immediately in 1947 lost India and Burma (Myanmar) and there was much bloodshed affecting millions as Pakistan was partitioned off from greater India.
For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; (Isaiah 43:3-6)
For failing to bring God's 'sons' and 'daughters' from 1948, Britain was so emaciated that America took the lead. Under US President Carter's lead Israel gave the Sinai for the 1979 cold peace with Sadat's Egypt. So in that year of 1979 famously Iran in the Anglo American sphere was lost became an implacable American enemy, Iraq in an Anglosphere of influence became unstable and the Soviets invaded Afghanistan, once also an Anglo-America sphere of influence (trtworld).
But things really moved up a notch in more recent history under the Clinton Parameters in 2000 that referred to a “two-state approach.” (jcpa).
Since Britain has adopted US president Clinton's language of the 'two state solution' in the recent modern era and in 2009 (with EU in 2014) targets goods made on the Mountains of Israel by Jews, Scotland has been threatening to gain independence, Gibraltar is under threat of being lost if Spain can have it, the Falklands demanded back by Argentina and Northern Ireland lost, if the EU can get it and some of the Welsh won't mind leaving..
Since Clinton and the idea of the 'two state solution' (despite the existence of Arab Jordan the first 'two state solution') America has had secession problems.
What we see in America with increasing polarisation in Politics and the Texas secession date from the Clinton's moves on Israel, which were not stopped by Bush who succeeded him. Bush Jr was hammered, having to deal with Hurricane Katrina for his moves pushing Israel as documented by Bill Koenig. The Clinton's Oslo Accords of 1993 match the beginning of the Texas mess in the early 1990's. Every time America pressures Israel, Texas will pressure more to leave and America will more fall apart politically.
Trump likely lost the power of the presidency where all power is Given by God (Daniel 2) for what Kushner and the team did with the map of the Peace to Prosperity Plan. Trump's team, unlike others, was actually in the process of doing something real targeted defunding making it impossible for the PA, so his team had to be taken from power by the Angels assisting. According to Koenig who has contacts in Washington, the evangelicals with Trump sold out to the Arab deal willing to give up the application of Jewish Sovereignty of the Mountains for that peace deal. The power went to their heads. They were given the worst Hurricane season and suffered clear consequences for proposing the division which Koenig warned them of. Not that there has been any blessing to the Biden team cheaters. They have a blot. But that too works to God's plan the weakness of the US allows the Rise of Russia.
The EU (dis)respected Trump - hated him but respected the power. They can't now respect Biden, as words on Ukraine are not deeds as Ukraine will find out. That is how God works! It is really complex. He uses what is in people's heart to move things and still justly punishes them for doing what is in their heart (even though He uses it). As King David said the proverb is the evil to punish the evil and God punishes both as He sees fit. But woe if they harm Israel! Blessings to them for good they do and as good was in Trump's heart he has been blessed for that, but removed so his team can't divide the land for economic gain (watch.org).
It was written 'Woe!" to the Anglo-American power overshadowing the Middle East in Isaiah 18 - and so it has been woe to the US ever since Carter began interfering in Israel to divide it, to the Bushes and since then with Clinton to divide it again. Woe and then Woe and more Woe until there is nothing left, but talk of division and secession...
What is left of the UK may take up where the US left off because of its lack of power. Neither will do anything except annoy the King of the North Papal backed Russian Coalition to make them begin the last move of to Armageddon.
And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. (Daniel 11:40)
The EU though a new and a young association was as one voice calling for a Two State Solution since 2000. Yet they have not succeeded in doing anything to Israel, but the EU has been dealing with its own Two State Solution due to the differences with the British, leading finally to vitriol and economic loss to the EU of Brexit. The EU’s high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, Josep Borrell Fontelles of Spain, has shown the EU has learnt nothing and not seen cause and effect is still calling for a Two State Solution (mei.edu). As a result the EU is now dealing with the problems of Poland's separatist intransigence. Spain of course is dealing with Catalonia.
The Papacy has sought Jerusalem as an international city since before the UN Partition plan of 1947 proposed it. Jewish Jerusalem is an affront to the primacy of the political religious power of Rome, supposed and self labelled eternal city seeking global religious control. Whereas Islam has no prophecy, the Jewish Bible does, and the fulfilling of that prophecy, including Christ's, is seen as a grave threat. Daniel speaks of a power from Rome that shall divide the land. Pagan Rome bought judgement and oppressed the land calling it Palestina, but the king of a Roman power (not America!) would arise that would divide the Holy Land for gain or payment or as wages.
But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain. (Daniel 11:38-39)
It was not fulfilled in ancient Rome by Constantine who served a God his 'fathers knew not' and made great who was the first great king fulfilling Daniel 11. It was not fulfilled by the kings in the era Crusades, after the Roman Constantininan religious power divided into the Catholic West and Orthodox East. Even now in Jerusalem the Catholic and Orthodox are both in residence owning lands but divided against each other. Dividing the land for gain is listed last in the things the king of the North does, after he has given power to others to rule as the popes did - if there are two contending, even as they unite, they may seek to divide the Holy Land between themselves. But there is more.
And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. (Daniel 11:45)
If we go to Ezekiel 38 we see a similar king of the North called Gog with similar alliances, who suffers a similar fate. But there is some other detail given. They will come to fight to seek to divide the Holy Land - so God, in revenge, divides them and they end up like the Americans – divided and fighting each other. This is the fate of all nations that seek to divide God's Holy Land to take it from those descendents of Israel He has given the land to by an eternal covenant.
And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother. (Ezekiel 38:21)
