No Francis, Not a Global Flood

4th March 2021, hej

I was stunned to read that the religious leader of millions, pope Francis, had declared that climate change could lead to a flood of literally Biblical proportions. Let's open the Bible, shall we, and see?

The holy see has been recorded as making a statement.

Humanity, the pope said, is going to face another "great deluge, perhaps due to a rise in temperature and the melting of glaciers. [That is] what will happen now if we continue on the same path," according to an excerpt of Pozza's book, Of Vice and Virtues, which was published Sunday by Corriere della Serra. www.jpost.com

The holy see must have its eyes on political correctness, because there is not much evidence of an accelerated rise in global atmospheric temperature, as weather balloons have not recorded much rise in the last 20 years. There is no evidence of an accelerated melting of all the glaciers. Despite fears that by 2020 many glaciers would have vanished, most are still in existence. Most indeed have shown trends of retreat, with some exceptions of growth including Greenland's Jakobshavn Glacier. It was reported in 9 January 2020 by CNN and others in a case of national embarrassment that the signs at the American Glacier National Park warning of the forecasts by the US Geological Survey back when it was predicting that the glaciers were to vanish by 2020 were to be replaced in 2017 when it was clear it could not happen, but the park spokesperson told news reporters that the limited budget meant it wasn't possible to change all the signs.

But the pope is not a scientist, he's supposed to be a religious leader. Doesn't he know the Bible?

Here it is below - the definitive answer ...Noah hears God say

“And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood;
neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.”
And God said, “This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.” (Genesis 9:9-16)

Is this not clear? Is there any part of this hard to understand? How many times does it say no more destroying flood? I counted three. No! it's not hidden, it's not some hard to find part of the Bible. It's right after the account of the flood in Genesis often acted out in Sunday School, being found in the account of the Rainbow, another popular Sunday School feature!

But there is more. Aren't the popes supposed to be inheritors of Peter's role? They should surely know by heart the letters of Peter?

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (2 Peter 3:5-7)

Who are we to say the Apostle Peter didn't know? Do you read it there, as I do? Do you see that word “fire”? Where is the fire from? The heavens and the earth! Not the seas. If judgement was to be by water, it's not by fire! Who is the judgement on? Ungodly humans! Not the plants! Not the animals! Humans! Can we be sure on this fire?

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? (2 Peter 3:12)

A deluge of water is going to cancel out any fervent heat. What does the Apostle Peter mean? Let us go to another famous account of an ancient judgement by God.

Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; (Gen 19:24)

That kind of fire from heaven will destroy civilisation, not the animals and trees! How can we be sure this kind of fire was on Peter's mind?

And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; (2 Peter 2:5-6)

Which of the two instances of judgement did Peter think was the example for those who lived afterwards, the flood or the fire? The cities turned to complete ashes by fire from heaven.

So how is it a religious leader doesn't know?

Is there more evidence of this concept of a fiery judgement?

The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire. (Psalm 18:13)
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined. Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. (Psalm 50:2-4)
For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. (Isaiah 9:5)
Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly. Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire. And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her munition, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision. (Isa 29:5-7)
Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and heal the stroke of their wound. Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire: (Isaiah 30:26-27)
And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. (Isaiah 30:30)
For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. (Isa 66:15-16)
And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. (Ezekiel 38:22) And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 39:6)
And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. (Joel 2:30-31)
For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth. And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place. (Mic 1:3-4)

These are some of the clearer examples, but there are more.

If this is not enough – what about Christ?

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 13:40-42)
I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? (Luke 12:49)

Nothing is said of judgement by water, or of another deluge. All agree and Christ says himself he will be sending a fire! The apostle Paul said Christ would come in flaming fire taking vengeance (2 Thess 1:8).

What does the rainbow now mean to those who live in the Vatican? Or is that “according to experts” “mythical” also? Does the pope know what God has caused to be written? We have an answer - No. Shall we then give any credence to his statements in an area he's not an expert in?

No, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, God will not send a deluge! How do we know for sure that God will not send a deluge? What does a covenant mean? A binding contract, a promise, a bond, the honour of keeping to ones word. What does it mean when God gives his word that he will, or will not do, a thing?

Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers. (Jeremiah 33:20-21)

How important are all God's covenants or promises? They are our very salvation!

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (Titus 1:2)
