Something cosmic is going on!
The planet is now completing its rotation in 1.4602 milliseconds less than the usual 86,400 seconds.
2021 is expected to be the fastest year ever, with the average day passing 0.5 milliseconds faster than usual.

Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days? (Job 24:1)

The concept of time (and seasons) is according to Daniel related to rule
He changes the times and the seasons: he removes kings, and sets up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: (Daniel 2:21)
Let us consider who is in control.
The speed of the Earth's rotation varies constantly because of the complex motion of its molten core, oceans and atmosphere, as well as the effect of celestial bodies such as the Moon.
The friction of the tides and the change in distance between the Earth and the Moon all make for daily variations in the speed the planet rotates on its axis, the Telegraph reported, adding that even the snow building up on mountains and melting in the summer can shift the rotation. jpost
If the speed of the rotation varies – all the time, and they struggle to find reasons for it. None can find reason for why the earth is rotating on it's axis let alone a variable orbit about the sun (we explore this in God doing things in space). Christ told us God controls it- hands on- and he ought to know!

To the faithful servant of Christ, though we know it is only so small that it is hardly known to perception, we can know it, and see it as a sign for us, as our Creator controls it. What did Christ say on Olivet about reducing the length of the days?
And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he has chosen, he has shortened the days. (Mark 13:20)
