I have been pondering the significance of the blocking of the Suez by the Ever Given. At the very least it has brought the world's attention to the importance of the waterway for global trade. There are conspiracy theories, for good reason – as it likely it wasn't caused by the wind, or the sand.
Conspiracy theories abound at the moment, cognition isn't matched by the official story. I had pondered when I first heard of the wind and sand as a reason whether this was about the merchants of Tarshish..
For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together. They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away. Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail. Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind. (Psa 48:4-7)
Evergreen looks like the places of the Isles of the Merchant traders who inherit the global trade of Tarshish. Their website says there are 5 divisions, “Evergreen Marine Corp. (Taiwan) Ltd., Italia Marittima S.p.A., Evergreen Marine (UK) Ltd., Evergreen Marine (Hong Kong) Ltd. and Evergreen Marine (Singapore) Pte Ltd.”
But then on closer examination I wondered just how strong the wind had to have been to have stuck the bow that fast and at the angle to block the canal. The most satisfactory explanation so far is the more recent note that the cause may have been human error. If it is not the wind then we can eliminate God as the direct cause. God still may have had a hand, as nothing is beyond him… but one has the sense then it's not a matter of a grand plan… which made me ponder, what did I notice most as a result?
The effect of the Suez Blockage
I, and just about anyone of note, noticed that Russia offered their Arctic sea route.
In a Twitter thread, Rosatom listed three reasons to view Russia’s strategic Arctic shipping route as a viable alternative.
The Russian authorities have recently turned the development of the Northern Sea Route into one of the key strategic priorities for the state.
In January, Minister of National Resources and Environment Dmitry Kobylkin said cargo shipping in Russia’s northernmost territorial waters would top 80 million tons as early as 2024.www.rt.com
Russia, India & Iran want to create alternative trade route to Suez Canal – report
Officials from India, Iran, and Russia are going to meet next month to negotiate a large joint project aimed at launching a new cargo transport corridor that could become a cheaper and shorter alternative to the Suez Canal.
The new shipment passage, North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), is set to connect the Indian Ocean with the Persian Gulf through Iran to Russia and Europe, according to Iranian state-owned news outlet Press TV. The 7,200-kilometers long corridor will combine sea and rail routes.rt.com
Not pie in the sky, not 'if' or 'but' or 'maybe', but what they wish to plan to do now as a result of the blockage. Logic says,
The longer the Suez Canal remains stuck, the more attractive China’s Eurasian Land Route (which many Western analysts did not take seriously) and Russia’s Arctic Sea Route will become. www.israpundit.org
But there is another route, much closer in progress already to reduce the power of Egypt's state control over 10% of global trade: Haifa to Dubai
Gamal Abdel Nasser in turn declared the nationalization of the Suez Canal in 1956. Britain and France reacted harshly to the Egyptian decision. After Israel has started to occupy the Sinai Peninsula, the two countries wanted to deploy military to the region.
Britain and France, whose “offer” to send military forces to stop the war was rejected by Nasser, attacked Egypt and continued air raids until the 5th of November. During these attacks, British-French forces gained control of the Suez Canal.
May the closure bring back to debate plans competing with the Suez Canal?
The Suez Canal has kept its strategic importance for global trade since 1869. Recently, Israel has started attempts to diminish the canal’s importance by constructing a so-called “Peace Train”. Israel thus also aims to integrate itself to the region.
The railroad project that was presented to public in 2018 plans to connect the Israeli port Haifa with Dubai. It is thus a centerpiece in Trump’s Abraham Accords and the Israeli-Arab normalization. The Israeli Transport Minister, Yısraeli Katz, then presented it to the authorities in Oman.
The Israeli Minister declared then that the “Peace Train” would serve as a bridge between Europe and the Gulf, with Jordan becoming a major logistics hub. At that time, Israel had no diplomatic relations with various countries on the trail, a situation prone to change today. The project planned a track of approximately 1500 km, starting from Haifa in Israel, passing through Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE and ending in Dubai. Katz then declared that the US President Trump supported the project too.uwidata.com
This route proposed raises the prospect of a specific prophecy of the future..
He shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim. But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.
And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod. And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt. (Isaiah 11:12-16)
Suez as tongue of the Egyptian sea
This was written when there was no canal. What is the tongue of the Egyptian sea? It is not the river as the river is mentioned. In context they are speaking of the exodus of Israel when they went though parted water, so that part of the sea where Israel went through is to be closed. The Suez Canal now dramatically divides Israel from Egypt – so it must be closed. Is the Suez canal the tongue? A tongue in Hebrew according to Strong's means a cove of water, or a wedge as it does in English. It would appear as if the prophecy of Isaiah predicted the 'tongue'.
At the time after the outcasts of Israel are assembled – then the Mighty One of Israel would close all the waterways that divide Egypt from Israel so the Egyptians serve the God of Israel.
In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance. (Isaiah 19:23-25)
But let us consider! If so much trade passes through the canal, and it is an event of such great note that one ship is stuck there preventing movement – what point should we take from the prophecy that the great global trade route is to be closed - considering Egypt and Assyria both go up to Jerusalem to worship?
We see why, when separating the land from water, on day three Yahweh Elohim (He who will be Mighty Ones) arranged the lands of the globe so Jerusalem was at the bridge of the great land masses and why in time past ancient Israel was part of the great trade routes between the three great connected continents. We know that the centre of worship of the Most High God under Melchizedek was in Salem, at the time the centre of the then-known world. The map of 1681 by Henricus Bunting captures this fact. The past is to be the future, but more so as the world's trade even in items of clothing is to go to and though the great Temple. It is written of the great sea traders that;
“her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.” (Isaiah 23:18)
Ever Given
Speaking of those sea traders, then we ask what is Ever Given? Hope for the eternal furture is Ever Given. The sure mercies of David are a promise of rest for ever.
For David said, The LORD God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever: (1Chron. 23:25)
As the traders take to make themselves greatly wealthy and don't give – Ever Given was made a shame to them.
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour. (Psalm 112:7-9)
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. (2 Corinthians 9:7-9)
But those who give truly to the poor, the real stuff of life, the truth, the hope the good news and the tools to make a good life- are blessed for ever.
The ship was turned to be an embarrassment, but we are all asked to turn which is to repent – so we may dwell for ever.
They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever: (Jeremiah 25:5)
The Evergreen
Whereas the traders trust in their riches, which can be lost, the message of what is Evergreen is a message of hope for the faithful. Those that trust in the riches of the cargo and promote wickedness suffer mischance, but the true servant that trusts is evergreen – for ever and ever.
Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness. But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. (Psalm 52:7-8)
