There was a joke by Michael Palin, that they were searching for intelligence in space - as it wasn't found on earth. In fact we are told that we don't need to seek it in far space as it is in our mouth!

There is indeed life out there – a different form of life. Due to what we now know about the complexity of life - we won't find our kind of life 'out there' as there was no chance it could exist here, by chance. We have in fact received 'alien communication' from the Heavens, it is so 'alien' to us that humans reject it with indignation and pride. The ancient Israelites received a law from heaven that was so good it was designed to be in our heart and mouths.
This historical alien communication delivered great wisdom – and understanding, yea even intelligence to the people of the earth. This law has given great success to all who listen to it and keep it.
Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
(Deuteronomy 4:5-7)
It is not great science to calculate a mechanical phenomena of radio waves, because it has no earthly benefit, even detriment of vanity in vainglory. Taste and see - we can though the great blessing of prayer speak directly in our own tongue to the heavens – and get an answer before we speak!
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. (Isaiah 65:24)
The scientists, even if they heard a reply, will have found nothing of use. If we cannot learn from six thousand years of mistakes others have made here on earth, what can we learn from others 'out there'? There is no salvation to be found there. For those Christians who think that Law (Torah) is of the past – think again! That Torah, the communication from Heaven is fully manifested in Christ (Messiah, Anointed), and is the instructor of our faith and the basis of our salvation.
But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:6-9)
