We knew it was going to happen, it was no surprise. At least for a few weeks before, we knew it was going to happen. Before that we knew something else entirely. To Bible students who see the prophecies through a glass darkly, how they play out tends to always be surprising. Always. Because this action is a part of a long, and ongoing, world war - but not yet Armageddon.
We were reading on the day of war:
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. (1Cor 13:9)
Iran is much in the Bible. It was Persia. We suspect it will again be Persia.
I can't find the reference to the TV pronouncement I heard that Iran would be Persia again, but Iran media picked up Congressman Randy Fine (R-FL) Make Persia Great Again. Fine is Jewish.

Iran killed a lot of protesters. Iran is hit hard; very hard. We need the dust to settle to find how hard. The leader of the 1979 revolution is confirmed dead. He was 86, and in poor health, but God, for His reasons, gave him life and breath, until he gave power to Israel to remove him.
All human speculation is futile. To the doubter understanding based on the Bible must seem the most absurd. It may seem as if the US actions may end up with a US-sympathetic regime, but this cannot be long lasting. The Bible says at the time Jews dwell safely on the Mountains of Israel, Persia will be with Russia, who will be leading Europe.
The word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, Rosh (Russia) prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, Rosh, prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army.. even a great company...
Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah (Turkey) of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. (Ezekiel 38:1-8)
In context, the previous Chapter 37 speaks of the revival of Israel, from dried bones, as a resurrection. This was prefigured from the first Zionist Congress of 1897 and only became fact after 1948. For all of history until recent living memory this portion of the Bible seemed wishful. Jews couldn't of their own fulfil this prophecy.
We have known in practice recently, in many agreements, that Iran is increasingly allied with Russia. Iran was supplying drones to Russia to use in Ukraine, and only 4 days ago signed a new secret deal. There was the Iranian Russian Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of 17 January 2025. We could point to these events and know Ezekiel was shown our day. It was never before our day.
Iran was once Persia. Once Ezekiel 38 would have seemed impossible – Persia with Russia?! No! From the rise of Britain as the power in South in the Middle East from 1882 in Egypt, balancing Russia to the North, until 1979 Persia was firmly in the Anglo American sphere of influence. Since the revolution of 1979 their best European connection had been Germany, and that was strained. Since 1884, the great age of Biblical archaeology and the Great Game of power, German and Iran had maintained relations, and Germany was Iran's greatest 'western' trade partner. Germany is part of greater Magog. With the 1979 Anglo-American removal from Iran, this Persian Ezekiel 'pattern' was also in place.
The point of all prophecy is that it will only relate to the era it belongs to. It is impossible until it becomes fact.
Iran/Persia's extensive and old connections with Germany, will be retained. The new connection with Russia, we expect, based on this prophecy, will emerge again, even if suppressed briefly.
Therefore, as we have a revived Israel on one hand – without safely on the mountains, and on the other the prospect of a destroyed Iran, we can expect that the events will ensure that the most impossible part of Ezekiel 38 occurs – Jews live safely without bars and gates on the Mountains of Israel – in Judea and Samaria.
This is so impossible that Gog, of Magog mentions it!
Thus saith the Lord GOD; that at the same time shall things come into thy (Gog's) mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: And thou shalt say, “I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,” (Ezekiel 38:10-11)
Therefore - whatever hope the US may have in the great game of ensuring that Russia has no influence over the Middle East and no power over India, Persia or Egypt – which was the aim of the Great Game, from Ezekiel we know that Russia has power over Persia and .. at that time Daniel says, also over Egypt.
He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. (Daniel 11:42-43)
Libya was once in the power of the Anglo Americans due to oil, but since 1979 also had a reduced presence to withdraw after unsuccessfully intervening 2014-5 and 2019.
Many view the world as East and West, but the Bible sees the world as North and South with Israel at the centre.
The 'great game' of the British Empire in the South in India, and also in Egypt and Persia versus Russia in the North continues in the American actions. Pakistan of the South (formerly part of India) also invades Afghanistan of the North, formerly Russian influenced.
How we understand the war?
On the day the operation began that Israel named “Roaring Lion” we were reading Psalm 104
Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind: Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth. The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God. (Psalm 104:3-4,20-21)
We see clouds arise from the flaming fire of missiles. This cannot be co-incidence as it points directly to Ezekiel 38,
Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil? (Ezekiel 38:13)
How the UK could end up getting dragged into the Iran war
Whether Britain, Canada or Australia and New Zealand likes it or not they are stationed there already in the Middle East and being dragged into the war. Britain is allowing the US to use British bases for 'defensive actions' and sending a warship to protect a British military base in Cyprus. Canada is not ruling out being involved. Australia has submariners involved in the action. Even New Zealand is moving aircraft to the Middle East. If Gog of Rosh (Russia) is to have hooks in their jaws, we can see also here how Britain and it's Commonwealth is already in the Middle East!
Blood Red Purim
Purim began on the 3rd of March, which was the 3rd day of the war. There was also a Blood moon

The moon in the political heavens reflects the sun and so describes religious power- the earth – the people - comes between the sun and the religious power. Truly in Iran the religious power is red- but so also in Israel, as they fear for the life of the Jewish state, as a religious state.
The story of our people felt less like distant history and more like a living reminder that the hatred and threats we have faced for generations have not disappeared. They continue to manifest in modern form, aimed at the destruction of the Jewish state.

In Times Appointed we considered the Decree of the Watchers of the tree with a beast's heart bound '7 times' as years. Using a solar year, as the Persians used a solar year, it is 2,555 days for years. In 1971 the Persian Shah marked 2,500 years from the death of Cyrus in 529/530 BC, and 2,555 is this year – 2026. They said in 1971 they were celebrating the era of the beginning of Persia with Cyrus the great in 550BC, but in fact it is closer to the anniversary of the death of Cyrus and the coming of the 3 kings of Persia, and the fourth who would be taken by Greece, as prophesied in Daniel 11.
The watcher angel says to Daniel he is struggling with the Prince of the Kingdom of Persia - 21 days. He didn't say Cyrus!
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.(Daniel 10:13)
Over the last 21 years – since 2005- specifically since hardline Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad election, Iran had intensified its attempts to destroy Israel. In the latter days! More so as since 2005 they began to openly build nuclear bombs to destroy Israel, and the international community tried to control these weapons. There was a struggle.
Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days. (Dan 10:14)
If those many days were 2555 years.
Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.
And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia. (Dan 11:1-2)
The three and
four Kings of history are Cambyses II, Darius 1 (the great), Xerxes I,
Darius III, but we know much of this from Greek history. If we count
the 7 Times of Daniel's Watchers from this point when Cyrus dies and the next Persian
ruler comes, then we reach 2026. Dramatic. Never before seen events.
Chabad Jews are of the opinion that the next leader after Cyrus was Ahasuerus. Other history has Cambyses II (530–522 BC), with Xerxes 1 (485–465 BC) better fitting Ahasuerus.

Destruction in Ramadan War
In the path to the destruction of all lies, Iran is forced to fight when it normally feasts. They are shown defeat, yet still cling to their false saviour to be resurrected to come with their 'Jesus' to make the world entirely Shia.

Of what use is a resurrected saviour- here now, here on earth - if all the mighty are far away in a heavenly paradise with virgins – sent to paradise by Israel and America? If Trump is the Anti-Christ of the prophecy, shall the anti-christ win? The success of Zion and the outcome will upset Shia theology, so they may be more amenable to joining with the other makers and lovers of a lie.
Indeed, Messiah will come, soon, but the Christian text says he is the king of the Jews (Jn 19:19), and he said he would come after Jews again rule Jerusalem – after it being tramped by heathen until their times are fulfilled (Luke 21:24). Seven times of the watchers, is the times of completeness. The times of the Goy nations are fulfilled as Jews gain all of Jerusalem. Rome at the time of Christ ruling Jerusalem held the mantle of Persia. The Persian empire began in Babel.
The Greater Picture of Power
In the ancient world there was only one world power. A power that would grind all others. It was begun to be built a Babel, which is known to be Babylon, but was then stopped by the Watchers. From Babel Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylon there emerged a great world power, described as a great tree in Daniel. This was followed by Persia. Then Greece, the Rome, which became West and East of which became the East, which was inherited by Russia.
Russian East and Roman European West are two parts of the same tree. Iran and Germany, both Aryan; two parts of the same tree. Islam arose to struggle with Jew-hating apostate Christianity, but they are two parts of the same 'Mystery of Iniquity' (2 Thess 2:7). A revived Persia? If Iran might have power again over Iraq and Babel? If Russia remains a guard to Iran.
From 1804 Russia attempted to expand South into Persia. Britain with an eye on India began countering that expansion until the convention of 1907. Recently Russia has again been expanding their influence over Persia. Iran was supplying drones to Russia to fight in Ukraine. It is no accident that Russia's advance in Ukraine is slowed, now Iran's capabilities are being destroyed. The nations that despise Zion struggle for Babel, but Zion shall stand forever.
