Babel, diversity and the new world order

3rd February 2017, hej

We often see the Biblical hope hijacked by those seeking a name for themselves or seized by idealists who refuse to take into account human failures. As a result, this human thinking is often more foolish than not, leading to much harm and suffering.

Brexit

The disappointment of those seeking for Britain to 'Remain' in Europe had a lot to do with the sales pitch of a Euro-centric global unity. It could be seen before Brexit that a united Europe was on a trajectory to be a world leader with Britain part of it and the US an extension, if they could have overcome their recent perpetual crisis due to weak members. Now Britain has left, the whole of Europe is in crisis, not only due to weak members, but also the effects of millions of Middle Eastern immigrants, latent nationalism and persistent terrorism. Britain was to leave due to its historic role set out in prophecy, but there was more to it – the ideal of global 'unity' about European secular values that many deeply desired was shattered in 2016 with blow after blow. The last blow was the election of Donald Trump. If we look in the Bible we are given a reason why this euro- project was confused and frustrated.

Babel

Already at the tower of Babel we see the emergence of those seeking fame and idealists departing from the way of the God of the Bible. Listen to what they say!

The whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
It came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
And they said one to another, “Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. (Gen 11:1-4)

Compare this to God's direction to Noah, which they must have known of.

God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.” (Gen 9:1)

How could they replenish, or fill, the earth, if they all gathered in one spot and refused to be scattered? This firstly then is a rebellion from God's way and purpose.

We see more of that rebellion in that they seek to make a great tower, not to the Glory of God or to the name of God, but to make themselves a name. So who is their leader?

Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. (Gen 10:8-10)

This suggests that the leader was likely Nimrod, who had made for himself “a name”. He was a “mighty hunter”. He must also have hunted the souls of men, as they followed him to Shinar to begin his 'kingdom'.

We have the majority of people becoming followers of Nimrod, and leaving off following their Great Creator and Sustainer.

This move by Nimrod later grows and becomes the first great world wide empire. Shinar became the place of the house of the god of the kings of Babel.

In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it. And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god. (Daniel 1:1-2)

Well before the time Daniel was in Babylon, the alternative worship had become a system of idolatry. Despite being scattered from Babel, enough people hung onto Shinar to make it the place of the gods of Babylon.

Salem, Jerusalem

Now at the same time those at Babel were trying to make a 'name' for themselves and Nimrod was establishing his 'name', there was likely already a place given to the worship of the Most High God in Salem led by the King Priest titled Mechizedek. Abraham is called from the idolatry of Ur of the Chaldees to Canaan where seemingly out of nowhere suddenly appears a Priest of the Most high God,

Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. (Gen 14:18-20)

Melchizedek's God is Abraham's God, as is made clear.

Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,(Gen 14:22)

Let us consider that Abraham was called from Idolatry near to where Shinar is thought to be, and brought to walk about the place of the priest of the true and Most High God.

When Israel enters as a nation into the land the people are shown a place chosen to put the Name of the Most High God.

But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come: And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks: And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee. (Deut. 12:5-7)

When the place of the Name is spoken of again, it turns out to be Jerusalem, the same place as the Salem of Melchizedek,

But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded? Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day: That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place. (1Kings 8:26-29)

If the Priest of the Most High God was at the mountain of Salem, in Canaan, as this was the place of the Name, then what were 'they' doing over near the low wide plain of Shinar making a name for themselves?

We might consider two sons of Ham: We have Cush from whom comes Nimrod 'the mighty hunter' who makes a name for himself and Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite, (Gen 10:15-16)

From Ham's son Cush comes Nimrod the mighty a man chosen by men. God's chosen Mechizdek has no origin mentioned (Hebrews 7:3) but is mentioned as the exemplar priesthood.

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. (Psalm 110:4).

Yet From Ham's son Canaan comes the Jebusite who holds onto the place of the Most High God, even after they depart from the way, and the Amorites who also stay fast by it. We find out also that Abraham was confederate with some of the Amorites after Lot goes to Sodom.

There came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram. (Gen 14:13)

It is therefore highly significant that Abraham's children had to wait until the iniquity of the Amorite was full. Abraham was told,

But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full. (Gen 15:16)

Abraham was not told “until the iniquity of the Canaanites is full.” Some of their iniquity was so bad that Sodom was wiped out. The Amorites in their confederacy with Abraham were exposed to the Ways of the Most High God, It is said of Abraham,

For I know him (Abraham), that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. (Gen 18:19)

The Amorites must have known as well as Abraham Noah' prophecy:

Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. (Genesis 9:25-26)

The other sons of Ham did their own thing, not being cursed in this way. The sons of Canaan stayed in what would be the Holy Land. If Melchizedeck is Shem (for Shem was still alive well into the life of Abraham) then we may see the Canaanites (the Amorites and the Jebusites) as Shem's servants, as Shem was made priest to the Most High God as literally, blessing was only through the Lord God of Shem. But Abraham was a descendent of Shem, which everyone including the Amorites must have known. As long as they stayed in the Way they were servants, but when their iniquity was full the fullness of the curse was realised in their destruction as a people by the Israelites. By contrast the other sons of Ham prospered.

One world – world empires

The 'one world' that became Babylon from Nimrod was allowed to prosper to some extent. Why? This is where the wisdom of God is greater that that of man. It seems it was allowed as it was to be eventually destroyed to the glory of God. When Babel did prosper its leader was shown that it was to be destroyed! The king of Babylon was shown a dream of all the world empires

In the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him.(Dan 2:1)
Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible. This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. (Daniel 2:31-35)
And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure. (Daniel 2:44-45 )

The people came to Shinar to make a name for themselves. Nimrod went off to make a name for himself at Babel, but God's purpose was that at the end the one-world-kingdom was to be the Most High God's and His only. The Most High God had set his priest in Salem and Jerusalem, the place of His Name. It will be the centre of the kingdom of the God of Heaven.

There was a choice. People could choose the masses that seek in unity on the wide low plain of Shinar to make a name for themselves and be of one language, or they could chose the narrow path to the high place of the name of the Most High God at Salem.

The Euro Project's Last Stand

As a comment on the Euro one world project Therese May British PM said,

"If you believe you're a citizen of the world, you're a citizen of nowhere" http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/10/05/theresa-mays-conference-speech-in-full/

This may be compared to the Apostle Paul "Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;" (Ephesians 2:19) of "the commonwealth of Israel" and connected to "the covenants of promise" (Eph. 2:12). Sincere Christians are not 'citizens of the world', as Christ who is our leader said "I have given them thy word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou (God) should take them out of the world, but that thou should keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world." (John 17:14-16).

In this context of the commonwealth of Israel. Paul continues,

If ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Gal 3:29)

Therefore the heir to this promise,

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee. (Gen 13:14-17)

When this happens the one world of human making, the name made to themselves, the 'tower' built will be destroyed.

Britain leaving the one world Euro project and the US walking away will not fully disrupt these Euro plans, but rather open the way for the final stand of image seen by Nebuchadnezzar at Babel realised in the unification of Europe with Russia as the last global human-led power a final reunification of the heritage of Rome. The reason why the work at Babel was disturbed was that once everyone became one, nothing is restrained from them.

The LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. (Gen 11:6)

For this reason the EU's plans have been held back, broken up and confused, until it is the final time for Babel to be built again by all those who desire one united global human world on the low plain of Shinar.

Diversity

The Euro argument now is that 'diversity is good' and all should be united. This will bring the united diverse nations of the low plain of Shinar. These nations that cannot normally 'cleave' together, are brought together to be destroyed at Salem the mountain place of the Name of the Most High Mighty One.

For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.(Joel 3:1-2)

God will destroy them through their own diversity.

It shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. (Zechariah 14:13)

Salem a “Burdensome stone” (Zech 12:3) will then become the mountain Kingdom of God that fills the whole earth. It is not sure what Shinar means, it may mean 'Hair (standing on end)', 'Split' / 'Cast out', 'that Which Is Young (or Shakes, Growls)', or 'the City of the sharp tooth (of wit)'. This new young generation celebrates youth, is fearful, it's words are sharp and it will be cast out, so descriptions fit. www.abarim-publications.com By contrast it is known that Salem (shalom) means 'peace'.

For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.(Isaiah 66:18 )
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. (Isaiah 2:2-3)
And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth. (Zechariah 9:10)

The word chosen for 2016 year by Merriman Webster's dictionary was “surreal”, but for us the events are real. “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Hebrews 11:3)
