3) In the name of Jesus

Jesus name means Yah shall save (For more detail see Name of Jesus). The good news is related to this name of Yah shall save and the actions of Jesus which fulfilled the meaning of the name,

But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through his name. (John 20:31)
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. (Acts 2:38)
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. (1John 3:23)

The name is important as salvation is given to those who understand what the name means, that God shall save, and how it gives them salvation in Jesus' resurrection.

The resurrection of Jesus

The Apostle Peter testified regarding Jesus,

He seeing this before spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
This Jesus has God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he says himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ (Hebrew=Messiah). (Acts 2:31-36)

Peter is saying that Jesus was made Messiah, as 'Christ' means in Hebrew, and that he was raised from the dead. The Apostle Paul wrote that if people have faith in this evidence, then they can be sure that they also will be resurrected,

But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he has put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. (1Corinthians 15:20-26)

At the coming of Jesus those who have believed he was the Messiah, Christ, or the Anointed king promised to David and have believed that God has raised him will also be resurrected. They would be saved from death, and given eternal life just as Jesus was.

The good news is the sum of the kingdom of God, first, and the name of Jesus,

But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning
the kingdom of God, and
the name of Jesus Christ,
they were baptized, both men and women. (Acts 8:12)
