3) What set David and Daniel apart from others?
It was a love of God and his promises to mankind and humility. They recognised their weaknesses and sought to find forgiveness and knowledge that would ultimately lead to salvation for them and their nation. Both Daniel and David revealed very similar characteristics by which the Biblical record has shown that they were indeed men of amazing faith with:
A love of the Word of God.
They read and study the Word.
A desire for knowledge and understanding.
Reverence and love for Yahweh.
Concern for the nation of Israel and its destiny.
Unmoveable faith and trust in Yahweh.
Men of prayer.
Recognition of sin and Yahweh's mercy and forgiveness.
Waiting for the Kingdom and fulfilment of the prophetic promises.
