Those with a European background in more recent times looking at proving how wonderful the exact timing of the 70 weeks of Daniel 9 to predict Christ's advent using a direct calculation to equal 490 years from a prophetic a day for year, have struggled with many issues including uncertainty of the precise dating of events and 2 decrees made regarding rebuilding Jerusalem. Isaac Newton in his Observations (1733) considered the significance of the use of the term 'weeks' or the strong role in Jewish culture of the pattern of 7 years, where the 7th year (Shmita) is a year of Sabbatical rest for the land and debt release.
Allowing for all uncertainty, I worked back from known Shmita years and the results suggest the possibility of accuracy, especially with the prophecy referencing the midst of a 'week' which in the pattern of Shmita years must be a Passover. See the 70 Weeks
There is no problem finding how the pattern of Jewish Sabbatical Shmita years in the modern era relates to events. As the year of the Suleiman decree is well established, we can relate that to Shmita Sabbatical years. Every Western year listed in the spreadsheet table below ends the Sabbatical Jewish year of rest listed and begins a 1st year of new planting.
As of September 24, 2022 the 69th full 'week' since the Suleiman decree ends. The 62nd week ended September 25 1973. This era began and ended Israel's last existential struggle. Isaac Newton was of the opinion that the 7 weeks after the 62 weeks was reserved for an era of the last days when the Jews were a nation again (having been established by 'some other kingdom friendly to them'). Is it chance the 62 week since the Suleiman decree ends after such a long time in the era of some significance? Is it a pattern?
Is the midst of the last week at Passover 2025 Pesach 5786 significant?
It is much easier to see events in hindsight. The Bible is accurate, but our understanding may be at fault, until after the events have played out. Even without considering times and eras in a world more than any time in this generation, politically unstable and in a state of flux, it is known that Israel's struggle over Jerusalem is entering a significant era.
