With the sweat of labour Israel has brought forth green, but now something strange is happening: the desert is blossoming as a rose and the eroded dry mountains becoming green.
Listen – when shall the desert blossom as a rose?
The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God. Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God (Elohim Mighty Ones) will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. (Isaiah 35:1-4)
When shall this blossoming be? Before or after Elohim comes with vengeance and recompense? The way it written - we cannot be sure.. why not? Who is the “them” that the wilderness is glad for?

They quote Mark Twain from 1867 “there was hardly a tree or a scrub, even the olive and cactus those fast friend of a worthless soil had almost deserted the country.” But it was written,
I will make your cities waste,..I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths. As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it. And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth. (Levitcus 26:31-36)
Do you see in the prophecy that Jews are ejected by their
enemies? The Jews' enemies then come to dwell in Israel's land BUT
they are then astonished at the desolation! It never yields for
them.
Moses predicts the years of persecution, pogroms and wandering that cumulated in the holocaust. Then:
Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes. And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God. But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD. (Levitcus 26:42-45)
The land would only be desolate when Jews were not a nation on their land! These are the 'them' of Isaiah 35:1.
There are other prophesies that support this. Isaiah 27
He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit. Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him? In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind. (Isaiah 27:6-8)
This blossoming of Israel could be in our future, yet consider from the moment Jews of Jacob “come”, when they returned to Israel, they have already taken root- then after that - they blossom, then they produce fruit. Jews are known for citrus fruit “Israel is one of the world's leading fresh citrus producers and exporters” Wikipedia. In addition their innovation leads to greater crop yields globally ( israel21c.org).
Then we notice that they are “debated with” when “it shooteth forth”, which indicate that we have seen already the blossoming of Israel- as a sign. As a sign of what?
In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea. In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine. I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day. (Isaiah 27:1-3)
The serpent in the sea is poetic prophet language for the great lying power of the united nations of the peoples or 'waters'.
Blossoming is equating to new growth Shooting forth, which links to some more detail in Ezekiel.
But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come. For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown: And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded: And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 36:8-11)
We see Jews on the mountains of Israel building the wastes. We see exactly one year after the US admits that Golan is part of Israel March 25, 2019, that the Golan becomes verdant and green. Please see the video:
Shooting forth leads us also to the prophecy of Christ: which should make us ponder just why it is this year 2020 we see this wonderful blossoming in Israel! What is being done this year? Finally the State Department of America has admitted Jews are by International Law permitted to possess the Mountains of Israel
He spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. (Luke 21:29-32)
