This article is speculative, and based on the correlation between natural events and political events in the book of Daniel and Revelation, and the symbolic language of the prophets.
The Great Creator saw fit to liken rulers to stars, nations to trees and empires to mountains, and by so doing has made human language rich in symbolism. We all understand what a human star is. So what might it mean when a phenomena is seen which has not been recorded before, where a black hole takes all the light from a star and consumes it?
Recently there were striking headlines, “Scientists watch black hole feast on unlucky star”
Scientists have witnessed the rare spectacle of a supermassive black hole devouring a star that had ventured too close .. Chornock and his colleagues observed such a glow in May 2010 through a telescope mounted on Mount Haleakala in Hawaii, as well as a NASA satellite.
The flare brightened to a peak that July, before fading away over the course of a year, the scientists said. smh.com.au/technology/
The Jerusalem Post headline read “Black hole caught red-handed in stellar homicide”
When the star is ripped apart by the gravitational forces of the black hole, some part of the star's remains falls into the black hole, while the rest is ejected at high speeds. We are seeing the glow from the stellar gas falling into the black hole over time. We're also witnessing the spectral signature of the ejected gas, which we find to be mostly helium. It is like we are gathering evidence from a crime scene. Because there is very little hydrogen and mostly helium in the gas we detect, we know from the carnage that the slaughtered star had to have been the helium-rich core of a stripped star," Gezari explained.
The team was looking for a bright flare in ultraviolet light from the nucleus of a galaxy with a previously dormant black hole. They found one in June 2010, which was spotted with both telescopes. Both telescopes continued to monitor the flare as it reached peak brightness a month later and then slowly began to fade over the next 12 months. The brightening event was similar to that of a supernova, but the rise to the peak was much slower, taking nearly one and a half months.
"The longer the event lasted, the more excited we got, since we realized that this is either a very unusual supernova or an entirely different type of event, such as a star being ripped apart by a black hole," said team member Armin Rest of the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, Md.
"This is the first time where we have so many pieces of evidence, and now we can put them all together to weigh the perpetrator (the black hole) and determine the identity of the unlucky star that fell victim to it," Gezari said. http://www.jpost.com/Sci-Tech/Article.aspx?id=268740
So who was the unlucky star? On the same day the black hole's 'misdemeanour' was reported, the Jerusalem Post also reported “Turkey completes probe into 'Mavi Marmara' raid”

The Turkish flag is red with a star and a sickle-like moon and was featured in the article's feature picture, draped prominently on the side of the ship making the raid.
Several sources suggest that the Turkish flag was taken from when they captured Constantinople from the Byzantine empire, and that the moon was a symbol of Diana (Artemis) or more possibly Hecate (a three headed goddess) and a star for Mary had been added. It is known that the moon was historically a symbol of Anatolia. While there is agreement that Islam early adopted the crescent and is associated with it, the star seems associated with Constantinople.
During the whole time of the celestial phenomena till its media release on 3rd May 2012, and especially from 31May 2010 from when the bright light was spotted in the sky through all of June 2011, Israel was vilified at every level and Turkey went from being thought an ally in 2006/7 to becoming an enemy of Israel. Relations had not been good from 2009 but the breaking point was evident from the Gaza Flotilla raid on 31 May 2010 and the subsequent events. The Wikipedia list of events for June 2010 features nearly daily the fallout from the raid in the various forms of open condemnation of Israel. At the same time Israel was also dealing with the outcome of passports used in Dubai by assassins.
By the middle of the month when the effect was the most visible and at it brightest, the EU is formally pressuring Israel to lift the blockade on Gaza and Turkey sponsored a new ship to run the blockade in July (the next month). All this forces Israel to ease the blockade announced on 17th June 2010.
In this way Israel's lustre is dimmed. Notice the “supermassive blackhole” was “devouring a star that had ventured too close” and the blackhole was “caught red-handed in stellar homicide” and “we are gathering evidence from a crime scene” and “we know from the carnage that the slaughtered star had to have been the core of a stripped star.”
They were to “weigh the perpetrator (the black hole) and determine the identity of the unlucky star that fell victim to it."
In this way events in the heavens are an interesting comment. Israel was not prepared as the Marvi Manara had a double edged trap, with those willing to die to take Israel down. Israel managed to get its soldiers out, but only by killing those who sought to kill them, and by so doing losing what little good will they had. In the days after there was a lot of gathering of evidence by Israel to present a case against the case presented by the raiders. The footage eventually showed that the Turkish sponsored ship had been caught red handed. But by then Israel's star status was stolen.
The Turkish flag is blood red. In legend the flag was red from after the Battle of Kosovo of 1389, when the Sultan Murad saw the field was red because of the blood and supposedly saw a star reflected in it. The blood-red was an expression of their power to hurt Europe,
And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. (Revelation 9:2-3)
Islam came from the deep abyss, out of Arabia in 634 via the Dead Sea (the lowest place on earth 424m below sea level), as a furnace-red smoke into Syria, then onwards into Europe. In a deep abyss there is no light, and no light escapes, even the smoke that escapes, darkens the air. No one sees a black hole, as light cannot escape its gravity. In symbol a black-hole is like a heavenly deep abyss or pit, and in this case the black-hole's presence was only seen as the heavens shone brightly because it took the light of the star, as if smoke, until it was dark. All these events happened in the heavens, which equates to the leadership of the nations. When Isaiah wrote “Hear ye heavens”, he was speaking to the rulers. We may see how the nations' rulers have promoted those people, who are like a blackhole, making light darkness, because the world leaders loved darkness,
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (John 3:19)
It seems more than co-incidence that this unique, never before recorded event in the physical heavens parallels so closely the remarkable events in the political 'heavens.'

There is much written about the sun, moon and planets aligning on in September 2017. We have many reasons for suspecting that 2017 will be a prophetically significant year, and the time of the Jewish feast of Sukkot could be more significant than any other time, but we need to understand the scripture before we consider the stars.
There is a great sense that the British are about to sail on the winds of change, and cast off the European shackles which have reduced trade and it's competitive edge. There is a reason why it's 'now', as it is spoken of in the Bible.
As the world becomes focussed on Israel and Jerusalem, with even nations leaders who remote from Israel having an opinion, we might consider that it is said that those who touch Jerusalem, touch God's eye.
