7) How would Christ view dividing Jerusalem?
If Christians follow Christ they follow his thinking. According to Christ's prophecy Jerusalem is to be ruled by Jews again after a long era of oppression. When Jews rule Jerusalem, then Jesus will return. It is not in accordance with his prophecy that Jerusalem now cease to be fully ruled by Jews, and part given to people who would oppress it. Therefore, based on Christ's words, a Christian would support the view that Jerusalem now should be an undivided Jewish city.
Paul defines the Christian world view

Boast not against the branches...Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not you. .. blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins...as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. (Romans 11:13-29)
